i dunno... it looks like you've got something there with the graphics...

intentional or not, you've come up with a high impact graphics style... it certainly caught my eye...

suggestion though, if i may... look at the terrain in the foreground... do ya see the pixelation in the texture...

otherwise... looks good...

This looks amazing! I will definately keep my eye on this one.

But, I agree with Red Ocktober about the pixelation on the texture.

If it plays as it looks, you've got a winner.

Looks very interesting.

It actualy looks a lot more like a ds game say than a comp game though, mostly because of the low res of everything, as well as the low frame rate. Aside from the handheld feel of the vid though, the visuals are good and it looks very fun.

This looks super-cool. I loved Starfox back in the day. This looks fast paced, energetic, and definately high-impact.

A few Qs:
You use matrixes or models for the terrain?
Can you buy or collect weapons/powerups?
Did you use DBPro of DBClassic?
How many levels?

I'm very interested in this... partially because I've been toying with the idea of designing a rail shooter for a bit now. Seeing this project is very inspiring.

One thing I gotta say, there's something about the terrain that is actually appealing. It has an old-school look in the pixilized polygons that is somewhat refreshing -- though a little much. Unfortunately, the low screen resolution is going to make that happen, and there isn't much we can do.

Given the sheer speed of this game, and the fact that DB isn't the most effecient with 3D optimization -- this guy is onto something big.

It looks great, and seems to play solidly, but has an extremely low framerate on my computer, and i had no idea whether i was winning or anything.
I kept shooting the little spaceships, avoiding the giant wheels, shooting at the highlighted parts on either side of the mothership, and firing the "special weapon", but i'm not sure if it was doing anything. A bit more of an explanation of what to do would be nice.
Really nice game over/continue screen btw.

wow, the really eye catching screen shot in the gallery led me to this thread (i hadn't noticed it before). downloading the demo now, you've certainly got some nice graphics here, hopefully the gameplay matches it!

[edit] pretty good, i managed to get the hang of dodging the spinning wheels of death... it is kind of hard to tell when you ran into a ship and when you shot it though...

One man, one lawnmower, plenty of angry groundhogs.

The terrain texture and the hud both look a bit low-res.
Hell! Who am I to criticse? The most I've done is a rather fantastic head model in 3d chat! 'Coded anything worth mentioning there, eh shadow coderer?' No, I say!
This looks great, and I would love to try the demo has and when it becomes available

Hey progre,

I just tried out your game, very good graphics. Gameplay was pretty good too, only problem i had was with my preformance, you must have a monster of a pc to be developing that game so well. Highest framerate I got was about 35, average 28 and lowest 11. Great job man keep up the good work.

THANK FOR ALL THE POST

Now I'm studying, so I haven't too much time for another demo. Thanks to your comments, I'm very happy to continue "creating videogames while I'm able" .
