Hey, I've been having this problem for a while. Once I installed Firefox, it told me to install the WMP plugin. I installed it, restarted. Nothing. It still says I need to install it. What is wrong, and how do I get it working? Thanks!

I don't recall installing anything other than quicktime(eww) and flash, I think you just need to update WMP manually and it usually works fine in FF, or atlest it does for me.

Why use WMP at all? It's a resource hog and will connect to MS servers and send information weather you ask it or not (but you can turn it off in options )...

Winamp or pretty much anyother multi-format media player is much better (besides Quicktime and RealMedia, of course)

Jess: Winamp and most other players wont embed into Firefox. I believe VLC, a very nice little player that supports lots of formats does though

I have updated manually. I even did a rollback, to see if that was the problem. Firefox just doesn't see the plugin...

2003? I thought the 2002 build was the only actual released build besides the 'N' edition (and SP1 + SP2 ones)

Well, does anyone know what to do? Its annoying, I have to download my videos from GameSpot instead of streaming them.

Have you tried the official MS WMP Netscape plugin? It seems to work with me, doesn't work with all WMP files/streams but most are fine.

Yeah typically MS hasn't renamed it. Just install the netscape plugin.
