Games which have moved me, hmm...
The five Myst games, HL2, Fable, Black & White.
I put this in a snippet because it's long...
well, first I'll start with the 5 Myst games (though the fifth one not as much, in general because the modeled characters while awesome didn't seem to display the most extreme emotions well). I'd also have to say HL2. I was pretty freaked out to see the combine controlled world, and got really deeply into the story. A ravenholm... I was stuck in Ravenholm for months, because I could only play it in short bursts before I had to turn it off... I've never been scared by any media form the way I was in Ravenholm, which I think is quite an accomplishment. Things like doom just get my adrenaline pumping, and most of the ideas in Steven King I find more facinating than scary, though he's got a lot of scares. I suppose Fable and Black and White also. Every time I did something evil I hated myself. When I stole I actually felt guilty, if I killed an innocent I was actually mortified, and believe it or not, I only married one woman, and actually didn't cheat on her. I also got very upset if my creature didn't like me, and was really angry when it ate someone. Would you believe I had more trouble stopping the ape from eating people than the tiger?
Oh yes! I remember When I was pretty young I had a tamagotchi pet, and I cried every time it ran away (only game that has made me cry
).
In other media, the most moving movie I've seen is V for Vendetta, the most moving book The Dark Tower (book 7 of the dark tower series).
I should probably look at getting the longest journey. From what people have said I bet I'd really like it.
