I know this is very Premature of me to ask being in a realtive newbie to this language but is it possible to encrypt or protect you exe files from being decrypted, a further question is could I implement some sort of security to try and stop people copy my cd with the finnished product on.

Sorry if this is wrong forum but it seemed the most logical place to post

As mentioned elsewhere, DBPro exe's can not be decrypted back to the source code. So no worrys there. Protecting CD from copying is possible but will be VERY expensive.

or use ..like microsoft.. serial number.....and then they need to register on the net..and if the serial is already used..then.....

and for encription......
you cant decrypte ...exe... you can only "decrypte" them in Assembly language..

If you have DBPro and you go to settings in the bottom right and then there's a button called encrypt attached media.

but it encrypts the media only. So if no media is used in the program, its of no use!

cd copy protection doesn't work, don't waste your time on it. I have not found any game cd yet that I own that I wasn't able to make a backup of, although blizzards was pretty damn good but the howtos were on the net for it aswell.
the serial # thing is really the best way.

yes. If you have any installation creation tool it has an option to protect it with a serial number.
