do I need a specific format for exporting to it? (i am using blender)

Is there a poly limit also.?

Creating models for FPSC without owning it or teaming with someone who owns it, is a bad idea. You really need to test your models in FPSC before you do release them. Also you need to write scripts to accompany them, so they can even be used in FPSC.
