i have this 2D game maker also, and i was wondering if it is possible to play the 2D game in FPSC like a bonus thing, you know like go up and click enter on a computer screen, and then the game would pop up?

I think this is possible. I thought I saw this one time but I can\'t remember. I didn\'t know what to search for either.

put in the feature creep thread that you want to be able to run executables from within fpsc.

I'm not going to put it in the feature creep, because I think scripting would make this possible. I will post it in the feature creep when I know for a fact that I can't do this.

The reason no ones helping is because it is not possible. You can only run images and movies from withing FPSC; not an .exe. Although it would be useful, so i would post being able to execute exes from within FPSC in the feature creep board if I were you.

I think there is a way to launch an EXE with empty's mod.

Thx inspire but empty's mod doesn't work on my comp. So I guess that doesn't help. Oh well I guess it isn't possible.

I don't think you can run an .exe from within an FPSC game without altering the source code.
Did you e-mail Lee and ask him about this?I am sure he would know the answer.

I did not email him this. I'll do that right now. I don't know why I didn't even think to ask Lee in the first place.

Alrighty then, I just emailed him.

It is totally possible with empty's mod. I had a working version at one point, but you're not gonna stand a chance if your 2D program is something like Multimedia Fusion or TGF, as the final exe's from those are too CPU hungry.

Basically empty's mod allows you to pause the game and run another exe , but it does not reduce the amount of CPU used by FPSC while the new exe is running, therefore it works, but it is designed to run exes for saving/writing .inis and therefore running a minigame is all but impossible.

Thanks Butter Fingers!!! Unfortunately Empty's mod doesn't work for me. Shucks, maybe I'll post this in the Feature Creep.
