Hi Guys,
Here Is a Edit of the intellimatter 2.0 Script By Brummel.I basicly deleted a few lines of code that I didn't like, and added a few things as well.

What this script can do:
* Fixes the shot behing object issue
*removed the walking around animation that made the AI seem thick
*Enemy only shots when he can see you
*Enemy is much more aggressive

Enjoy

Josh

Note to Noobs: Place the script in the main field of the character, and delete the text in the shoot field. DON'T touch the view angle.

I tried it out and this script seems pretty good. The only bad thing that I heard enemy gunshots when I was in a separate room.

@Black Terror- Try this to fix your problem. Place a trigger zone to spawn the enemy just before you enter the room.

Any onther coments are welcome

What does the script do?

Your signature has been erased by a mod. How about that?

@Pus In Boots,

Greetings. I downloaded and tried this script out.

Quote: "What does the script do?"

-The enemy will shoot quite agressively, when the player is seen.

-I've noticed that the enemy does seem to slide behind a wall, for cover.

-The enemy does not walk or crouch with this script.

While this script does have its limitations, I like it, and would probably incorporate it into gameplay.

Hope this helps you in your endeavors.

Thanks,

Seth Black

The enemy does strafe when shot. And also, when the enemy is low on health,it shall charge you. You might not of noticed this, Thanks for the nice comment

Hey how hard would it be to modify the script to always be in a chase type mode, like if the player is closer than say a room away from the enemy. Also, is there a good coding guide for scripts, such as the manual for Dark Basic Pro, where we can do context searches and stuff, so I can start cranking out special scripts for monsters, and to have buildings, cars, exploding and crumbling.

Edited the team request out of your post.

You might check out the chase script included in FPSC and there are a variety of other scripts available that do something like this.
To answer your second question you might refer to the stickies at the top of this board "Everything you ever wanted to know about scripting" and "Some useful scripts from the boards".
There is also a list of fpi actions and commands in your FPSC manual.
