Did a quick search of the forums and found out how many people wanted auto-close doors, so let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time, I made a game with loads of doors leading from one room to another, then set all the doors to be objectives (1-500, god that took a long time!) then after the last door had been opened successfully opened, the player won.
Problem was, I couldn't see where I was going for all the open doors, so I wrote this script.
The player walks up to any (use) door and opens it, then steps through to the other side normally, but after a few seconds the door closes again, making the level a bit more tidy.
This helps make the level feel a bit more 'lived in' apparently, says my mate. Also, it makes it easier to get lost if you can't retrace your steps because you can't remember which door you came through.
My 'mate' owes me a fiver now because he bet me I couldn't write 100 words on somthing as rubbish as an automatic door closer!

<insert pun here> I really must get round to this

Quite cool, could be useful! Have saved script and will most likely use it in the game.
Good contribution TGPEG!

Thanks. I've spent months downloading from forums but never giving anything back. I'll try and start posting more models or scripts
