Thats right I just saw it. Batvink is the Newsletter editor! I didn't realise until I saw it next to his name on the 'Whose online' list.
Was this announced somewere that I missed?

Might as well make use of this accidental double post and say,
Congradulations Batvink! I'm sure you'll make a wonderful MOD and a brilliant newsletter editor!

I'd love to say more, and it's not that it's a big secret, but until I've spent some time with Rich I'm not sure what I've agreed to

For the time being I am Rich's Padawan.

Thanks for the Congrats, Cash.

TDK's also a mod too now. I'm guessing he's patrolling the DBC and newcomer's area since that's where i've seen him the most. Congrats to the both of ya!

Yeah I saw that TDK is a MOD. Don't know how though, he always said he didn't want the task but I'm glad he is one now though. I'm sure he will also make a brilliant MOD!

He's a mod in the DBC board. Well, he can mod elsewhere if he wants to, but that is why he's a mod - to look after that place.

Hey, I was going to start a congratulations thread for BatVink and TDK, but you beat me to it.

Congrats to both of you. You both definitely deserve to be Mods, and I believe BatVink will make an excellent newsletter editor as well.

Good performance is better than a good excuse.

Ditto!

Here's a penguin!

How about covering Gnomon Workshop training video's in the next newsletter? They have everything from modelling, texturing, animation, painting, illustration and more. It's affordable training materials, by industry professionals. In my opinion, they're much better than the 3DBUZZ videos.

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com

I've bought a bunch of these, alot of maya videos and alot of the 2D concept and illustration videos. There's some painting video's I'd like to also get.

Congrats to both of you, I'm sure you can do a great job BatVink

Of course on the very slim chance you don't do a great job we will poke fun at you until you get used to it (supportively of course) So no worries

Honestly, I don't think anyone here is a better fit for new modship than BatVink and TDK. Both are highly respected and I know Rich has made a good decision.

Congrats Batvink! I was wondering how we could ever expect the newsletter to be close to it's current quality. I'm so glad to hear that Batvink will be taking it on. If there is anyone that can do it, it's Steve!

Also, TDK is a great choice for a mod. Congrats to you too!
