I'm not sure if this actually belongs here but I think it does.

Okay I retextured the Famas from model pack 5 for the december-february level competition. I put the file to the texture in the famas folder. I renamed the gun_d to gun_d_original and same with the gun_d2. Then I renamed the new texture to gun_d. I also made a copy of that file so I could make a gun_d2 (not sure if it is necessary but I did so anyways) But for some odd reason the original texture comes out. I'll post a screeny.

The hud icon is what the famas should look like. What did I do wrong?

The texture might not even look good. I'm just testing things.

the one that you need to alter is the D2, not the D. The D is only the diffuse map.

Hmmmm. I changed the d2 as well. Maybe I forgot to put my file in there.

the main textures are "gun_tex.jpeg" and "hand_tex.jpeg"

edit those for the HUD weapon, editing the D and D2 affects only the VWEAP
