Rich - what happened to the lightbox for previewing images? I just uploaded a JPG and its not viewing using lightbox.

Did you have to remove it?

I didn't have to, I just chose to. It worked nicely for smaller images, but the big shots in the FPSC boards just didn't work very well. Easier to open in a new tab instead so you can carry on browsing / reading, while the image downloads.

ahh true... Shame - I kinda liked it - but then again, I browse at an above average resolution, so I suppose the lightbox module with large screenshots would be a nightmare at 1024x768 and 800x600!

Have you also sorted out the posting delay? It seems really quick this evening!

I found it took too long, preventing me from continuing to read the thread, and so I always forced it to open in a new tab anyway.

I really didn't like that image previewer. I greatly prefer opening in a new tab and viewing at leisure. I hated having to wait for the applet to load, then the picture, while it blocked half the thread.

It was a nice effect, but in most cases wasn't practical, I even found that it could take a while to load the larger images, whereas it wouldn't have in a separate tab/window. I can see why Rich removed it, shame, but it can be better to have a system that is more efficient than flashy.
