A new project, this time something mechanical.
Still have to finish uv mapping and animating, but dont expect to take too long with this one.
Comments and criticism welcome as always.
Edit:Screenshot updated to reflect new model and textures.

Looks great rolfy. Every time you make a new model, a fresh idea for a new game is born. "War of the Worlds" anyone?

Best.

Thanks guy's.
Loc,actually no,it's not cat animated, there's over a hundred bones in this thing.Didn't use the skin modifier either the parts are just attached to the bones then animated.

I this!

The body reminds me of the Mac II Monster (One of my all time favorite non-transforming mecha).

Psyched to see sci-fi stuff for FPSC.

Cool, that thing is huge and moves really well. One question, what's the box at the rear? It seems to be out of place and textures quite differently then the rest.....

Looks great, but it will be non-combat character.

not if I can help it...although lets be honest, who knows what you were actually trying to say.

2 vweaps unsupported (lets not get me ranting about the quality of the new update).

I have some hints and tips on this one though rolfy. you can probably rig up two weapon systems on it, so long as one is a projectile (rockets/grenades) and one is a machinegun or something, you can probably throw in a melee attack for good measure.

Again, I'd be down to script this one for you. I'm obviously still in hiding, but I'm getting a bit yoda about scripting at the moment, so throw everthing you've got at me dude!

So people dont think I've abandoned this.
Here's a screen of uv mapping and texturing so far.
Will probably do two or three different bot styles.

Looks a lot better. I see you say "So far" and that's good to hear this is only the base...I can see this later down the road with another 100 layers on it looking tight as h-e-double hockey sticks(is that aup friendly?).

Very nice. Reminds me of the Sony Aibo, only not as friendly.

Best.

This looks super sweet. I am glad that you're on a project like this because if it were me trying it/doing it...it would turnout more like a MS Paint Job, that almost could have made it in the "created with no hands or eyes or computer" model contest.

Good job is all I should say. ANY UPDATES even today yet? BUMP*

The second one is the first retextured and slightly remodeled,I will be back to working on these pretty soon as I haven't forgotten them.
Just that I've got a lot of real life work to do first, let a lot of this slip by me recently.
best rolfy.
Edit: I have already done quite a lot more work on the one above, new animations etc.
