Makes me wanna throw up. I can't watch more than 15 minutes of the snakes. Its one of those movies in which I shall not watch(including the Saw movies and the hostile movies). I can't stand gory movies. The screams make me so...nervous...

Snakes on a Plane. Classic piece of cinema, that. I'm shocked and appalled that it hasn't been nominated for best picture. Come on, little miss sunshine? Better than Snakes on a Plane? Seriously?

Seriously???

Snakes on a Plane and Little Miss Sunshine were both absolutely amazing movies. Snakes on a Plane because I laughed through the whole thing and Little Miss Sunshine because if ever there was a dark comedy, this is it.

Honestly, why anyone thinks SOAP is even remotely good is beyond me. I get that it is trying to be B-Movie-esque, but it isn't, it's just... stupid.

But then maybe I'm crazy.

SOAP had its moments, but the snakes were too clever. Unrealistic if you know anything snakes, but fun nonetheless.

The acting was good though, much better than B movies. I'm very sensitive to bad acting. The premise was kooky, of course, but certainly not a bad movie.

From what I understand, you need to watch it in a cinema or with a group of mates (preferably when drunk) and just enjoy how tacky it is. Personally, I've never seen it so I can't really comment, but if I do, it would have to be under those conditions.

Wasn't the movie's original intention to just be a big joke?

To quote Jackson during last year's MTV movie awards:
"No movie shall triumph over Snakes on a Plane. Unless I happen to feel like making a movie called More Motherf*cking Snakes on More Motherf*cking Planes"

@Phaelax: Sadly, no, the movie was ORIGINALLY meant to be completely serious. The title "Snakes on a Plane" was just an in-progress title... kind of like the Nintendo "Revolution" and "Dolphin"(Wii and N64).

They were going to rename it something like "South Pacific Flight 164" or something lame like that, but Samuel L. Jackson refused to participate if the name was changed. Incidentally, the acting was quite good, for a movie with such a silly premise. Except the villain... he was awesomely bad for his two scenes.

Wasn't the Dolphin the Gamecube?

Have you guys heard of "Snakes on a Train?" I'm serious here... it's a real movie, and I really do wish I was kidding. That was one of the most embarassing events in the recent years of my life: laughing, out loud and very, very loudly, at the cover to that flick at Hollywood Video. "Snakes on a Train" gets an A+ for its intuitive, original title and concept. Magnifique!

I think I'm going to make Piranhas on an Escalator in FPSC. I'll be a millionaire by next tuesday.

I thought the movie was quite entertaining. And that is all that I care about when I watch a movie. And when the snake jumped out of the floor in the cockpit, my friend jumped off the couch and we all laughed at him. That made it even better. Of course, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if it wasn't on a big screen with good surround sound. It just makes it that much better.

I think so, the N64 was "Ultra".

I thought the N64 was "Project Reality" or something like that.

My bad... Dolphin was the 'Cube, I believe. The Wii has made me forget the Cube's existance.

And yes, don't hate, SoaP was great fun. The theater I saw it at had a snake sneakily hanging on one of the security cameras.

Niiice. My friend said that when they went to the theater they brought a bunch of rubber snakes in with them. They sat near the top row in the theater. In the middle of the movie they started throwing them down and people were screaming. I wish I had been there...

Snakes on a plane was cheesy, you could easily tell it was a film designed by PC geeks (no offense) especially when the snake bit that womens breast, that was just plain crummy.

It was meant to be cheesy. Very few people understand the movie, but it's actually a comedy. It's a satire of cookie cutter action movies.

Indeed ... a translucent reflection exists! Clearly when your image is reflected, you become translucent and the objects behind you can be seen ...

Yeah...I think those are supposed to be solid metal walls. That other dude's legs are translucent in the reflection too. I guess I was wrong all these years...
