Okay, I see what I did. It's easy to get confused.
One rule says don't offer money and riches, another says,
if you want a model, be prepared to pay.

So if I need to pay for one, how do I get it without mentioning money?

I think John Fletcher might be someone to ask... I think he did some custom character work for A4productionz... I suppose it depends on how much time he has and if you can afford what he charges (I don't know how much he charges, so you would have to ask him)...

If you ae willing to pay $70 USD or more per character you might get a response from somebody.
If not you are probably out of luck.
There is nothing wrong with offering to pay somebody to make characters for you as long as you understand it ain't gonna be cheap.
Making custom characters is a pain in the backside.

Yes, I'm building cut scenes with Poser 6.
I would like the characters created in Poser, to be used in FPSC. I know that there's no simple way to do it because of the high poly in Poser. Also, the cut scenes are taking all of my time. So I'd just like to give someone a few pics and have them create FPSC ready models. If they can just retexture existing models, great!

I thought for sure there'd be a few college guys looking to make some bucks? I guess everyone is busy building their own game?

If it's for cutscenes, there's thousands (maybe millions) of free object sites out there. They usually don't let you use them for commercial use, most of them have copyrights.

I need FPSC-ready characters. I'm handling the cutscenes. That's why I don't have the time. Rendering and animation can be really time consuming. Especially on a AMD P4. I'm jonesin' for a quad right about now!

Uthink, buddy no one is going to make these for you,if you think animating and rendering takes time, try creating a character, texturing and mapping not to mention rigging and animating for yourself.
You should get on with creating your game and then worry about your cutscenes,to be honest Poser's renderer is a real donkey and you will be forever rendering movies with this, you would be better to spend the time learning to model. Then using your low poly models to animate with.

What if he offered $100 000 000 000 000 for a few models? Then would you all jump?

Or use the search function and excuse me for my bad englisch

I know the process. And I don't need to search.
We all know that it takes a ton of hours to make a decent game.
I'm just trying to delegate some of the work. There's nothing wrong
with that, because I'm willing to pay.

Yes, there were no takers on my initial offer. I bump this thread every now and then thinking that maybe someone had some time free up, or didn't see it.

We're making too much of a big deal out of this. If you're interested, then email me. If not, read the next thread. It's not like I'm making posts asking how to put an entity on a table, or do you want buy models I downloaded from Turbo Squid.

You can't get on Uthink guys. He is one of the few (and I mean few) that is willing to actually pay for a character. Although no one will make one for him. At least he tried.

Uthink. If you are willing to pay for models. Why don't you just buy them from Turbo Squid? Given no one round here will make one for you.

If I don't get any takers. I will end up making them myself. I have
used a number of items from Turbo Squid. They've all been objects rather than characters.

When I get a little further along I'll start dumping some things here for free. The first thing that comes to mind is segments. They're so simple to make, I'm not sure why people sell them. I had a tough time finding segments just to make houses and office buildings. So I just spent an evening making a number of segments. The main thing is to actually match floors with walls and colors. Too many people just dump any combination of textures together.

Oh, and if someone were for hire, I would donate the characters to the community with different textures.

Not many people on these forums do characters. You can about them on one hand. And donating them isn't the answer. I know I'd rather charge 500 people 1$ for a char then make you one for 40$. Guns(goods ones you'd use anyways) and characters are going to be your biggest obstacle.

Good Luck
