Hi Guys,
I hope some of you will be able to help me with this.
Is it possible to change the height of the player camera at all, basically scaling the player.
I need to be able to do this for a interesting idea I have.

If it is possible, will someone please explain how and what to do.
I do not have DBPro,so editing the source code myself is a fairly tall order.

Please take pity on me and help LOL

ok,no answers,lol,
is that because no one knows how to do it,because no one is willing to help someone in desperate need , or because everyone thinks I'm a noob?

There simply has to be a way of adjusting the player height, otherwise scaling everything else up , but that would be insane.

If anyone knows please let me know ,I'm not a noob, scouts honour
LOL

edit 20,000 lines of source, and its possible, or just pass the peace pipe like all other hippies, and itll come to life in a matter of minutes.

this comment is not to offend anyone who uses marijiuana, or does not mean i smoke, because i dont, it was just a smart-alecy- way of saying no lol

Press 'C' while testing the game. Hehe, only kidding, maybe move the player's start marker down?

You realise that this; even if it was possible, would screw up just about the entire game. Your head could be sticking out a ceiling looking into the vacuum of cyberspace when your body is in a corridor. When you crouch under an entity, you're above it. In short, it can't be done. Scaling the world around you is the best bet. I'd know

I know I keep changing my signature, so what?

Why do people think programming is hard, there are probally 5 instances, at most, regarding the players height, or if you are lucky 1 variable to change.

I wouldn't be able to say how to 'shrink' the player via scripting... but given the time, it would be simple to move the player cam down, and change a few variables regarding shots.

i assuming that if you made a multiplayer game it would be possible to scale the players down maybe, dnt know exactly, the camera probably stays in the same position although i think it's meant to be mounted next to the player's head, someone will have to try it, or contradicte me of course, that almost always happens

so what's the job?

OK,Back under my usual name, surprising how the Replies normally differ depending on who's asking the questions?

Regarding this question, just something I was interested in , and yes, there should not be too many variables setting the players height in an actual game, I know this from previous experience with other engines.
The reason for asking , is not to have players running around in an environment scaled up necessarily, but to allow , and bear with me now, the possibility of having worlds and levels that are a lot larger , simply by scaling the player inside the game area.

The possibility would then arise where you could have grids and levels that play like 20x20 grid sizes ,but only take up 10x10 grid units, putting less strain on the engine, and allowing you to build larger environments.

Not necessarily feasible, but something I'll be experimenting around with a bit.
Anyway,Thanks for the comments.
