how? how do you make areas where the user cannot go, and trees? and help with this would be GREAT (e.g. ideas and textures and such) thanks

Try using plain objects as walls and set it for invisible
then use collision to stop movement you could also texture these object with a jungle vegetation texture as well.

You'd really wanna get some collision code done first, then it'd be really obvious how to do stuff like that. Just a few actual 3d trees in the foreground and a jungle foliage tileable map in the background, with an invisible collision barrier. Or you could be really creative and have it so that if you go a certain distance, the character blurts some witty line and you turn around and ai brings you back to the trail.
