is there a limitation as to what i can do?

is there a certain kind of game that is "favorable", in that they game more models/weapons/sprites/you get the idea...

Sure as long as you have DBC/DBP then you can make any game you want.

If you buy Darkmatter without Darkbasic Classic or Darkbasic Pro... no. If you haven't gotten Darkbasic yet get Pro. Its faster and has many more commands than Classic.

You won't notice any limitations if your new to programming. You might not be able to do something simply because you don't know the commands enough.

Darkbasic can handle many models and sprites. Darkbasic is made to make any kind of program from utilities to first person shooters.

Dark Basic has always been 'try before you buy'
On the downloads page you will find a trial version of Dark Basic that you can download for free.
Darkmatter has a wide range of models including swat, zombies, dogs, soldiers for fps games plus vehicles
