Hi, i'm new to darkbasic programming and need some help

i'm trying to load an image but when i try a bit of code that i think may work it comes up with a blank screen when i execute it

i know it will be a real simple piece of code but can you guys help

this is implied by the fact that you created this thread.
please try to name threads with descriptive titles!

Something related to the content, like:
"Need some help with image loading"

this would be very helpful to other users, and helps us help you. not every user here has time to read every thread, especially the ones that are titled ultra-generically. Also, it helps people decide if they want to read the thread based on their current skill-set, thusly saving them time by being able to bypass threads that may be above their current skill-set, or conversly attracting them to threads to learn something from.

sorry for the "speech", but there are way too many threads generically named. Hopefully everyone reading this (especially the newer users) sees the point I am making and sees its benefit to everyone. Also please feel free to point this out to others when you see it occur.

well i think this may help



this program loads the image, pastes it on screen then waits for you to press a key before it ends. i think your problem before was your code showed



in which case it ended straight away because there was nothing stopping it do so
