I am writing a programme (let's call it simply The League) in DBClassic to keep track of teams in a league, team name, games played, won, drawn and lost, goals scored for and against, goal difference and points gained. The programme is menu driven and prompts are provided at each stage.

The programme has provision for:
1 Setting up a league table
2 Entering results and calculating positions
3 Displaying the processed table
4 Viewing any teams previous results

I need a fifth provision without which, of course, the programme is useless
5 Save the programme
so that it can be read and written to each time I update it, but I have absolutely no idea how to go about it.

Can someone help and is there a good, well-written, tutorial somewhere?

Thanks

Have a look through TDK's tutorials : http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=96010&b=7

There's a file access tutorial in there somewhere
