After all these snow posts and us brits sitting here jealous, the day finally came where we actually have proper snow, we had one morning of light snow and that it.

It's good as all of the schools got closed, even though we went in for 1/2 an hour to find out that they decided to close, so we went to some hilly part in town where most of the school kids were, then it turned into a massive snowball fight between the emos/rockers/indies/moshers and the chavs, then the chavs started getting serious about it whilst we just stood there laughing with little effort of throwing while they made their ball huge and a couple actually got the massive snow balls and struck them at melee range when they were off guard, I was one of those to get hit by one of those when I asked Gary for the time. Trust a bunch of anti=social chavs to ruin the part eh? Although it's amusing how pathetic they were, but I can see why there is a dispersion order in our town though

Shame we don't get snowy Christmases anymore, as my friend said to me yesterday, last time we had snow at Christmas was when he got his first rollerblades.

Nope, only you, I did however slip over three times, well in the nature park how the hell are you supposed to see all of the slips in the snow, yeah I know excuses excuses...

Yes, but the worst snow day I had, as in the younger years, I went to school by bus, it was okay in the morning, then in the afternoon, when we had to go home, the buses decided to take exceptionally long, ours coming from the furthest place, so we sat in a classroom waiting for it to come, and trying to contact our parents to pick us up, I managed to get through to mine at 5:40pm apparently the bus actually came at 6:00 when the head master offered car lifts home, what a scary thought.

The next day, I thought "b***ocks to this, I'm having my snow day" and stayed at home

Mine is, it's 'professional day' for the teachers so, either way, I'm off early for half term, thanks to the long awaited snow.

Only started snowing when I'd already got to college and they didn't shut it. Although to be honest it would have been a right farce getting home if they had.

I'm possibly the only person there that really hopes it is open tomorrow. I'm off to see the Kaiser Chiefs live with a mate so have to get to college so I can get the right bus at the end of the day.

It would appear I've been bitten by the coding bug yet again...

Well the snow was fun while it lasted, back to typical rainy English weather again, well hopefully we'll get more, but probably won't.

@Chris, that's all the info I need thanks, now I'm coming to your school and am going to kill you and all of your friends *Evil Laugh*

Also, like our school website, yours is craply designed, and what makes me laugh is that ours has been announced as a Maths and ICT specialist school, when their website is poorly done and only one or two ICT and Maths teachers can actually teach, for ICT most of what the teachers say is 'Look at the website, it will tell you'. Luckily I'm only doing compulsory ICT, which is just that ECDL scheme, which is patronisingly easy and they use the decent teacher for it.

Until I read the last part of the sentence, I thought of speedo as in swimming trunks, what it usually suggests...I mean why would you be wearing a speedo in the snow and why would it be pointing down...Nothing I want to see in my head thank you very much

*Shivers* Ugghhhh... You Brits are wishing for snow. Here in North East USA we are sick and tired of the cold and snow. I really wish we could have your weather for a month...

Had proper snow for about an hour, sleet for about 12 hours and then rain to top it off. Pathetic.

No it's so unfair I wish for snow every year but we don't get any.The last time it snowed here was in 1981(JohannesBurg).On the other hand living in South Africa I guess you have to live with the odd 300 days a year sunshine.....Which I'm getting tired of.
I wish I wish for some snow please pretty please....

Sounds fun, I suppose in some way we're lucky, we get enough snow to appreciate it, same I suppose for hot weather (Although 2006 we had a lot of heat waves) But most of the time we have clouds, wind and rain.

Just north of me is said to likely get another 18 inches of snow. Reports said we're gonna get 4-8 inches, but I think we've already reached that, and its only 11am. If anyone's curious about the storm sweeping across 4-5 states, well the white spot is the storm on this 600mile radar.
