I'm pretty sure it's 18 when you are able to post your age, but happy birthday.

And, I'm glad that your robot is working out for you. Mine is getting to the point of "parsing" a sentence, and responding to that.

Happy birthday dude, even though it appears you're not 18, but get drunk anyway.

Fallout, make an edit! We don't want Xenocythe getting e-mugged by crazy old perverts.

Happy b-day! You should put the razr in the lacrosse stick and play cell lacrosse. That sounds rediculously fun, now I wish I had a cell phone and lacrosse stick! Oh, except that I can't play lacrosse... blast, a good idea while it lasted. Anyway, happy b-day!

Happy Birthday Xenocythe!

The rule is if your under 18 you can't post so you don't get harassed by perverts, at 18 is ok to post, and beyond 18 you want to use the "can't post age" excuse so you don't look like a senior citizen to the kids.

So essentially what you're saying Grog is that once you hit 18, pervs don't want you anymore? Is that an organizational rule for them, like the unspoken code of the pervert?

Oh yeah, well you poor poor sods, can you even have a drink with your meal at a younger age? If so...damn, but then not so damn, because people pretend they're 21 or drink underage anyway

I never did understand that... you can go to war and get shot to pieces or blown up or whatever at 18... but you can't drink until you're 21? Is booze deadlier than bullets & bombs? I never understood that rule, lol.

[sarcasm]"Especially because everyone under 21 follows that rule Ive never heard of "anyone" under 21 that has drank." [/sarcasm

I totally agree with you that it is silly.

I think it's sensible you Americans generally can't drink legally to 21. Imagine the mess you'd be in if you had access to alcohol, what with your substantially regressed mental ages. (joke)

But seriously, alcohol is responsible for so much crime, I think it's right you shouldn't be able to drink until 21. If they changed that, you'd have 10times more anti-social crime, and I don't think you can afford that when combined with your gun culture. At least over here, it just causes lots of beatings and stabbings.

21 is a good age. 18 is too young. My opinions would be different if I was still under 21, but for selfish reasons. In reality, 21 is a good age.

I think 21 is still too young to drink responsibly. The whole "I can't wait till I'm 21!" mentality is crazy. If your under 21 and you "can't wait"... you've already been drinking illegally so what's the big deal about being legal?

I hate birthday threads

6,525,170,264 world population / 365.25 days a year = 17,864,942 people had a birthay today!

just call me grumpy if you like but if everyone did it it would become thread spam very quickly!

Yes, but it's ok because there are probably only 2 or 3 people here celebrating a birthday on this particular date. And if one person posts a birthday thread a month, then it's no big deal.

3user x 365.25days = 1095.75total users, I hope TCG has more users than this

It's the thin edge of the wedge, trust me, don't encourage it!

They have more users than that, I'm sure. But they don't all use the forums and the ones that are, don't all decide to post on their birthday. It's not a big deal because it only happens once a month is all I'm saying.
