I must say it looks rather impressive. There are however a couple of things I think you need to change. Firstly, it would be nice for you to implement WASD movement (using scancodes so that people like us can use ZQSD ), and secondly I feel it should be run in fullscreen desktop mode, rather than FSEX(which I assume it is). The reason I say this, is because with an FSEX application you can't tab-out and tab-in again without getting a crash. Other than these things, this is pretty nice, well done.

IT looks really good.

Noone was online, but it looked like it had a lot of potential.

Downloaded the demo. Nice little game you got here. It's pretty simple and there's not a whole lot to it other than the multiplayer, which I didn't get a chance to test. Two things come to mind when reading this thread / playing the game. First of all, this is kind of nitpicking, but the term "beta" actually means a finished game (all models / functions are fully implemented) that is going through testing stages. The term "alpha" means a game where everything is there, but maybe there are a few placeholder models, unfinished sounds, etc.

Secondly, and this goes to anyone making a first person shooter, you need to lock the mouse to the screen by doing something like position mouse 320, 240 every loop. I have a dual screen setup, and whenever I play a FPS like this the mouse moves onto my second monitor if I turn right, and when I click I click off the application and the game minimizes, breaking it. If you lock the mouse you'll still have the exact same functionality, and also cater to us dual screeners.

I'm not entirely sure if I like the idea of locking the mouse to the screen, unless it's possible to only lock it when the window is in view. The reason I say this, is because when testing multiplayer games I like to open two instances on the same computer, which is obviously very difficult when the mouse is locked.

It only happens when the windows is active, yes. ALL industry games do this, by the way. Including third person shooters.

Ok, downloading!

EDIT: Too bad that site doesn't let me download faster. It'll only let me download at about 30-35 KB/S. Oh, well, it still doesn't take long.

ANOTHER EDIT: Very nice. My frame rate never droped below 60 at the highest settings. The animations for the weapons are spectacular.

Only two problems I found:

1 - With some of the keys, changing them in the options menu doesn't make a difference.

2 - The weapon model you used for the grenade launcher is actually a shotgun.

No it really isn't. Take a look at it hard enough. Not a grenade launcher either, is it? Kind of like a flame thrower like thing.

This is very, very awesome. Looking forward to playing it against people. I have two issues though.

1. The bloom effect on the lights got really shaky when i moved back and forth.

2. Switching weapons with the mouse wheel was hard. There were lots of bugs, causing the player to pull out the same weapon repeatedly.

Downloading.

That site is far too slow, though. It's only letting me download that file at 15 KB/S.

EDIT: Can't play the video. Just the sound.

you CAN use model pack from FPSC it saya this on the site...

Quote: "This pack can also be used with other applications such as Dark Basic Pro. Once purchased the media has been packaged in such a way to enable you to enjoy the content immediately. If you are an FPS Creator user you can download the content and install it into the media library. An alternative installer is available to those who want to use the media outside of FPS Creator."

Good news. This game will work on a lot of computers. I tried it on an old computer (from 1999):

Windows 98 SE
Pentium 3 500Mhz
256MB of RAM
ATI Rage Fury

With these video settings:

Screen Size: 640 x 480 x 16
HDR Effect: Disable
Texture Quality: Low
Player Body: Enable
V Sync: Off

And the frame rate ranged from about 20fps to 30fps. The grass outside really slowed it down, though, to about 6fps.

How did you get it so the gun was attached as a limb to the person, and how did you get it so that the camera was aligned correctly to see the attached gun?

You're not from around here, are you?

The gun is attached to the limb, which is attached to the cup. (Family Guy reference)

Really. It's attached to the limb.

WOW this game looks great much better then any of my games but why does the grass slow it down shouldnt it just be straight plains textured with the image of the grass and alpha mapped unless you have tons of them there, or your running a for next loop to update them to different textures in which case you can just run the for next loop like once every 3 loops.

I just can never get my arms with the gun aligned correctly whenever I do my FPS's. Really good work.

This is great! Looks really professional. It seems very smooth on my oldish computer. Says 36fps, but feels like more.
I'm impressed with the shaders. Wasn't expecting them to work on my comp. You've convinced me to find out more about them! The environments look clear and varied, probably owing a lot to the lighting/ glowy shader stuff.
One thing that you might want to fix is the bullet damage decals on the walls. When you shoot a door, the bullet hole decal (and i assume the collision) only occurs when the door is fully closed. Also, the decal does not move exactly with the door- if you open a door with a decal on it, it kind of "jiggles", or lags behing the door's movement or something.
Another thing is with the rocket launcher gun, the fire decals seem to be orientated in the same way all the time, so they sometimes are viewed side-on. You just need to rotate these to the camera orientation, or point them at the camera position.
