although it may seem dead, its not, just that i`m keeping away from this forum as I suppose.
you see, in a way i`m sorta leaving, very slowly infact.
projects such as games i`m working on.
but this contest is still running!





Soo, whilst shooting the one odd barrel in "Slayers 222" quick mp game, I came across a Idea, what if we had a multiplayer map making compo?

Soo, without further ado, I'll be hosting this one competiton for mp map making...

of course I'll be needing judges, so lets start of with 3, and maybe 5 if the competiton gets bigger.

soo...

--Judges--
1)LT Tatters
2)Jony/Miposter II.
3)

as usual there should be prises for people to pick when the deadline has been reached,

--Prize's--

1)Jony's/Miposter's II ingame music pack.
2)Icy colds ww2 model pack.
3)
(they may be more than 3 if people wish to contribute.)

And also restrictions and ect.
-Must be made in v1.09 or below(beta not allowed.)
-size of 20 by 20, and 5 floors.
-you can only enter one entry.
-must meet the deadline by which is in 2 months time(15th august 2008.)
-All maps must be started after 15th june 2008 8:12pm(London time.)

OK, normally I'd hesitate to enter and LT compo, but since I have so much great MP level building skill to use, why not give it a shot I see my level is becoming quite in-famous. Would it be OK if I use the same level, but heavily modified? It's only a day old and so amazing too

oops, thats one thing I forgot to add, fun, level design, fps, and weapon placement(yes weapon placement... its quite crucial in mp games.)

well, if it was made yesterday then go ahead and edit it, and this compo is serious and I`m waiting till anyone ask's to contribute prize's.

Hmm, okay I'll make that a exeption, you may have a map that was built a week before the compo started, but must be havily modified and proof to show it has been.

well right now for me it is the 16th late at night and I dont got one can I still make it and with the whole due today thing can you move to like idk the 20th or 25th so people who just read this like me can make a map or is it just to late??? becuse thats just saying like ok I want a map now and thats not rly fair

@Surpy, no it aint late for you to join, you can join now and you have till august 15th, thats two months from now, to be honest, thats a massive kind give that, I would of made it 2 weeks, but I thought 2 months would be nice.

OK, so I HATE V1.09! Way too buggy. I wanna use Airmod and V1.07. I think that all versions should be allowed, as which mod/version you choose gives different benefits and disadvantages. Like for example, Airmod gives you iron-sights but you also have a bad case of floating characters. Think about it seriously please. I really wanna go back to Airmod. At any rate, my map is done, needs some tweaking, bug fixing, balancing, etc, but not to bad. Should be ready for your enjoyment soon.

@Slayer, I cant exactly promise mods, some mods make it more intresting, and it would be unfair on others sadly, you can always downgrade to v1.07 and v1.08, and I dont like v1.09 either.
Also cant wait to see it

@Surpy yes you can use media from the fpsc store because fpscv1.09 has the store intergrated into the fpsc window/gui whatever you should call it, so yes you can.

quite happy this has came quite far, also post you're WIPS in showcase if you want to, I made the time limit 2 months to look out for great fpsc mp maps in showcase, mp is rarely made and played with the fpsc engine.

OORAH! I went ahead, built my level with glitchy.09, It's definitely a bit on the harsh side without Airmod, if you suck at FPS, so I hope for my points that the judges aren't FPS newbs Pretty much, you'll RECOGNIZE the old level, but there are some big addons, lightmaps, realism scripts, tweaks, etc. so it's in my opinion, quite different from the quick 30-minute level it was before. So without further ado head over to the showcase and find "A Quick MP level". Please DL, test, distribute it, whatever, just don't take credit for it or pirate media please. I hope it meets the compo standards,
