Well if he made the window transparent, he would need to model an interior, therefore adding more poly's.

Looking AMAZING oleg. I love your style. In all, absolute-no suck-up honesty-I think these are literally (you can quote me on that) the best (by far) models on these forums. I swear.

There's this certain filter you apply to every texture you do, I can tell. It gives you a unique style. It almost looks like grain from the texturizer tool in CS2...

How do you do it?

Regards,
AaronG

EDIT:
These will look great with EAI's weapons, as they also have a mellow effect.

I know it would add lots more polys but it would look great,

For the window, i would modify the texture and add the interior on a layer under the window on photoshop. It would, however, mean having to go out and take photos from each angle of a truck.

Hmmm... Crane should be little longer. Pipes look good, and the watchtower should have ladder on it. Houses are well made, but windows look unrealistic. Truck is great, but there's something wrong about it. I just don't know what.

I agree with OLEG about the wires
You could reduce poly count by making them only 3-sided and not extrude them too much.

Love the truck model. You really do nice work. Love them as much as Butters' models

Propose: Would give the truck a cub or cockpit kindof this and make the windows transparent. Would certainly double the poly count but it would look really good.

Note: I would make the nuclear warning sign a bit more thin.

Thx all !
You are helping me a lot with my model pack .
ABout the truck : i was realy hoping to stay low poly , and i think the idea of Smitho is the best for the windows.
For high poly , we will just wait for X10 xD but thanks for good tips.
I have fixed the crane bugs , thx for the tips Tactical Puma.

AaronG: thanks you very muth for your great comments...but i'm not a pro and i'm young. And i have seen muth better works.
About my textures , and i almost don't use filters.
One small tip , find your own unic style of working and just practise.

Now i'm working on buildings , soon you will see screens.

Best , oleg

I like all of the models except the truck. The front looks like one big peice of bent metal. Also, the windows look like they are metal. I would consider an actual metal windshield with two rectangular looking holes and just make them pitch black. It would make the truck look more weilded together if you added rivets on all creases. Does this make sense?

Great job though.

I wanna make those grungy kind of textures like you and Jon Fletcher. They looks so awesome and would fit perfectly with all my current game ideas.

I an abstract way, that odd comment also meant; Great work!

@Inspire: Sounds like a good idea, tutorials are always good.
Texturing is no issue for me, I'd never offer a pack of textures as a prize in the model comp if I wasn't comfortable with my texturing. But what I do wanna know is how to make the textures look so grungy. It looks awesome.

I must agree... Might be due to the fact that they both use photoshop, but a lot of other people do too... They must of used the same tutorial to learn with.

I think it might be because both have a very grungy style of texturing. It has nothing to do with Photoshop, that's for sure.

There are programs around the Internet that can recover information from a crashed hard drive, try looking around for them, you'll find a good 75% of all things still in tact.

OLEG those models rock! One thing that you could change is that the truck looks a little too green. Try makin a brown/silver dark type mixture? But otherwise you pack is awesome!
EDIT: I just read that you lost the truck.. But on your crane i knida noticed that your crane is too square as in the its too striaght.it goes like this:

It would so better if it was more.. triangular like this:

Just a suggestion. Anyways great job on the pack!

i'm glad that you like it , i'm doin my best to create high quality stuff.
Inspire , not all textures . But i take a photo of my obj then i crete a uv of it . After the UV is done i edit my photo with photoshop to give it more realistic effect and add more details. But take the crane it was complitly hand painted in photoshop.
Well you see...

Today i have started to create buildings and i most say it's a lot of hard work to create high quality buildings.
first it's only one 1024*1024 texture. And you have to put al of your stuff on it. Anyway i'm jsut trying to say that it's hard to create low poly buildings on one high quality texture.
I have made a simple building of 650 polys ! I don't know if it's good for Fpsc X9 but it's perfect for X10.

Tell me what you think about it , your comments are needed !
