Why?

Surely the only possible justification for locking a thread is if it has become a flame war (something the FPSC mods need to learn). This doesn't, so why lock it?

I disagree. If the creator of the thread no longer has any use for it, then they no longer need to read it, others may still find it a thread worthy of posting in.

Take this one for example. It had bee four months between posts and an FPSC mod deemed that worthy of locking. However, it is providing free media which is useful all of the time. Someone may still want to ask a question about it but now they need to create a whole new thread ... Crazy!

I don't think TGC is ready for n00b slaps consisting of you actually going round their house and smacking them in the face.

@Scraggle -
Nice find, I always appreciate new animated decals. That was a really dumb lock, something like that should just be left open.

Welcome back Indi.

I guess the only bad part is that now you won't be able to see what all the mods say about you in the mod board now that you have left

Nah, we wouldn't say anything about Indi, he might come right back and find all the comments, then it'd be OUR livers being eaten by the Indi monster, we can't have that!.

Maybe it's a good time to fix that avatar Indi, the little fella has crud on his face on my PC at least, like stray pixels here and there, I say give the guy a little makeover to celebrate your liberation.

Now that you don't have access to the lounge, keep me in mind for testing still, if you want to do more small group beta tests for DT like you have in the past that is.

Ken, not sure about how you spend your time, however I was spending too much time worrying about the posts, I could not feel something for all the kids who were just being silly numbats.

I dont think im making a return anytime soon as a mod.
Put me out to user pastures and I'll chew my code / cud.

Van, yeah I can for-see a DT demo soon, like the special mod preview one , once i get back into it and my clients give me some space to play.

I think some of us already sussed that one out Raven

Also, Deathead, you'll get the same treatment if you call anyone a noob...you're not going to get away with calling an ex-mod one, equally as you won't with a standard member...Besides I have this philosophy, who uses the word 'noob' is a noob for using it - as it's a daft insult (I do realise that automatically makes me one)

Actually they are both the same.... but "noobs" are more likely to call others "n00bs" as they believe it causes them to sound "leet".

I think the difference between NEWB and NOOB is massive though .

And indi, I look forward to seeing your creations now that you are free from locking and approving posts.
