The packs are available and on sale now. Buy both together for a 20% discount. "Value for money" is subjective as always, but they're no more expensive than any other pack we sell, and offer the same number of items overall. There are some nice bonuses included in the packs too, such as loads of hand styles (gloves, armor, etc) and a nice scorch mod.

Ah,That explains all Rich,so it includes more then the pages tell.

I was actually comparing MP8 with these 2,8 has LOADS of stuff.and when i looked at this, the list was.A little short. Not that the quality is bad though.I guess these packs are a bit like,"Quality Forever" styled.

Great news.

Quote: "So the beans have been spilled. I though I was gonna loose my lips trying to hold it in "

Me too, I guess the WIP thread can be locked now

Quote: "the gloved fist and zombie hands were in both packs"

Yeah. I wanted it that way so that users didn't have to buy both packs or choose between one or the other just for those basic weapons.

Quote: "8 has LOADS of stuff.and when i looked at this, the list was.A little short"

Please keep in mind these are weapon packs and not segment/utility packs. I believe the quantity of things are competitive with other weapon packs and when you break everything down, including the VWEAPs and varied ammo entities (shown in the screenshots), there are quite a few assets included. Not to mention all the animations and other needs relating to weapon stuff.

Quote: "There are some nice bonuses included in the packs too, such as loads of hand styles (gloves, armor, etc) and a nice scorch mod."

There are about 70 hand variations provided and the scorchmod is an updated version of the one I released on forums a while ago. It allows for basic melee decals without messing up the flak explosion decals.

I hope people like the packs. 20% off for both is an uber deal.

I've just tested some of the weapons and they're brilliant beyond all belief. Just a few problems (I'm solving them now)

-The Grenade, when thrown the flak model stays floating in the air and spins around and doesn't explode.

-Some of the model pack 10 weapons have incorrect reload quantities (e.g RPK with only 4 rounds per reload)

Opposing Force,

I haven't ran into those two issues with testing but I don't have the final installer build that is being distributed. The flak bug sounds like when the flak isn't in the correct place. It should be in modernday... If it was moved to a seperate directory for MP9 or 10 it may not work right (FPSC bug) or the pickup entities may have not all been updated. Can you post or email me the gunspecs or .FPIs?

Also, some of the full-auto weapons have a reduced ammo qty because itterate is used. Though in no way should the RPK be four.

Ah, I copied the flakspec for the world war 2 mills grenade to the m67 flack folder (in the modernday flak folder) and it now works. This is the original flakspec file...

That's so strange. The M67 flakspec was a straight copy of the milsno... I wonder why it wasn't working. Are the 40mm 'nades working OK?

I've got to log off for a few hours to run errands but I'll be back this evening to check for issues.

Thanks for the wellwishes.

More guns, how dull. By now we should be seeing some different kind of weapons. How about a crossbow or an axe? Totally different packs like Monsters, animals and building packs would be good too. Still at least there is a sword in one of the packs!

Just because it's first person perspective it does not mean it has to be a shooter right?
I agree everybody creating guns is dull but these guns are the best quality around.

I wish I could buy these, but I cant cause I goin through a bad time (financaly) and cant spare cash for most things I enjoy.

But When I get my life back on track in the way money is to concern, these will be somewhere near the top of list.

If you think these are dull (If you do, there must be something wrong with you) Then dont buy it. Simple as.
FPSC was not intended to create fantasy games, and is superior is First person shooters. While some people can pull off fantasy games *cough* rolfy the lucky... *angry mumbles* (Joking mate ), FPSC cannot handle wide open spaces, and is better for interiors, with minimal objects.
Imagine... The most epic quest ever set foot by a simple elf from a fishing village. *Walks in room with minimal items*.
Thing is, many people cannot create custom artwork (3D), so how could you make a fantasy game with the stock items?

Bond & Jon are making Fantasy packs for X10 which, hopefully, will be able to handle essentials like open space, more easily.

Excuse the rambling,
Jake, you already have my congratulations on myspace

Best,
Dan.

Pahaha. Probably the same way he could afford his "$4000" worth of software.
Urgh.. people like him.

I already checked.
Model packs 9 and 10 are the highest quality stuff that TGC has put out for FPSC.
The stuff that Jon and Bond are working on will be for this version of FPSC as well.

Eee, X10 is gonna have some very nice things on
You're right about the wuality thing, Fred.. Although i reckon these are going to look lush(er) in X10!

I wonder someone could import into X10 for us to see?

My fave weapons are those carbines, especially the ones with the holographic scopes. Sweet.
