The first engagement Raven, myself and Kentaree won the match against an assult ship without much problem. So they guy popped out of our base with a Dominx... Raven, myself and Kentaree got slaughtered

The man of the match was most definately GICO in his Typhoon. He destroyed the opposing dominx with hull and armour to spare. Nice going GICO!

What happens if nobody's signed into the game and someone wants to destroy your company? Can they just obliviate you guys when you're asleep?

Actually, if the game advances enough. Yes. We can buy our own sectors of space, deploy stations and station defenses. I presume these things look after themselves to a certain point, but if they enemy arrives with a big enough fleet and we're not there, we could well wake up one morning to a floating wreak where our corp base used to be. At the moment however we are basically renting offices from another corp, at about 1.5m a month. This station is in CONCORD space so any fleet who attacks it is going to have to be massive.

No, when you sign out your ship warps off and vanishes, the only time this doesn't happen if someone has scrambled your warp drive then you'll still be in space.

Also if you're next to a base and a Dominix comes out why didn't you dock :s

Actually our first engagement was at about 17:14 GMT this evening, when myself ("Daedalus" Caldari Osprey), Kentaree (Gallente Thorax) and Gico (Minmatar Hound) took on Cain in his Gallente Arbitrator.

Kentaree's Thorax was the first to fall within 40seconds close range; Despite Gico's best efforts to give Cain some punishment and provide me with an oppurtunity to escape, the Daedalus also was destroyed just prior to being able to dock. (I had been given docking permission as he blew me up )

Gico survived by re-cloaking and running. Which was quite sensible given how much his ship is worth and how little damage it can take heh

We were able to knock down the shields of the Arbitrator in seconds, however the hull (and of the others in their fleet as we discovered) have all been greatly hardened against attack.

A plus side of this is that it takes them longer to repair damage done, however downside is we need to dish out more punishment and with our fairly weak tech 1 weapons (I now have tech 2 as does Kenjar I believe) we didn't do much damage. Gico could've done quite a bit with his tech 3 cruiser missiles, however this would have to be long distance support due to the fragile nature of his ship. We later were able to rely on this long-range support however in the second engagement of the evening.

Kenjar (Caldari Caracal), Gico (Minmatar Hound), Kentaree (Gallente Thorax) and myself ("Apollo" Caldari Blackbird) successfully destroyed Jacke. I'm not sure exactly what he was in but it looked to me like Gallente Brutix, perhaps an Amarr Abbadon. In any case we soon discovered that again the shields came down quite easily, but the hull was certainly well re-enforced.

The engagement in all took about 2minutes, with most fighting long range while the "Apollo" got in to get nasty with it's Regulated Ion Phase Cannon. Although I doubt any of us could've taken it on our own, we were quite successful sustaining on superficial shield damage to most ships.

As we began some clean-up operations at about 20:40 GMT (I had changed to my Caldari Merlin, a basic frigate), Jacke reappeared with his Dominix.
I was told that we were given permission for clean-up ops so, I continued to salvage what I could from the wrecks. Had got about half way back when the Dominix released it's drones (and that thing can carry quite a few!!) .. I was still being assured "everything is alright", despite airing my worry. I was attacked by the drones, at which point Kenjar and Kentaree undocked and began to try and protect me. Unfortunately again during docking permission - BOOOM! Another ship bites the dust.
It took me another 20-odd seconds to be able to dock and a further 30 to change ship and get back out. At which point only Kenjar was left in the area, with a couple of hits his Caracal exploded. Kentaree I had been told escaped the fray but damaged, although I decided to unleash pretty much everything I had into the beast.

After a number of volleys his combined fire, from the drones and ship had become to weaken my shields to a worrying point. Luckily the Apollo had been disrupting his targeting sensors to prevent a direct attack, as well as stop any warp scramblers (which he did try to use) to prevent me from jumping. After putting on my shield booster to keep me safe while calculating the jump to warp, it was a big sigh of relief as finally escaped the warzone.

About half an hour later the fight of two battlecruisers started, although I didn't see what happened (as I had gone to do some missions to get some cash so I could afford to reload ) our own Gico was victorius in a one-on-one fight.

I think we've done quite well so far in this war given what we've been thrown up against and how they were camping at our base earlier in the evening. We just need to work on tactics, and test out enemies a bit prior to full-on engagements; we should be able to start taking them down better.

Darkcoder you're really missing out on some good fun!

After a mere 24hrs, the war with Seventh Sanctum.. is over.
So well, the three conflicts that happened last night is pretty much the whole of it.

Not sure what this war cost them in total, but from the tally I was able to put together earlier; we're down about 60,000,000isk which tbh isn't too bad given the actual losses of equippment and ships.

On the whole it was a bit of a learning experience conserning PvP, and we know that while not entirely ready for such combat. We did alright.

So we are a bit more prepared for the next conflict we're involved in, which I'm a lil sad about actually cause after talking to DarkCoder the Apollo (my Caldari Blackbird Cruiser) is actually now tricked out as a support ass-kicker

Have actually spent most of the night working on some better skills as well as earning a bit of bank to finance a nice new Drake Battlecruiser. It's still gonna be my target, but guess she won't see action for a while. ^_^

Now it's over mind, we are still looking for Research & Development peeps; plus a couple more miners to really help bring in some extra cash. Atleast we know we can ass-kick most mining pirates with ease; so ya'll be safe if you join up. I think we also need someone to handle our accounts, would be nice to see it a bit more healthy than it is heh

CCP also set up a section of the company just to make sure that didnt happen again.

I'm seriously thinking about leaving my current corp and joining devhat, at least for a bit

The last engagement of the war took place last evening, where Kenjar (Caracal Cruiser), Kentaree (Thorax Cruiser) and I (Hound Stealth Bomber) decided it was time to take down Caine from Seventh Sanctum who had been camping our base for quite some time in his Arbitrator Cruiser. We had fought it before, so we knew it was quite a formidable foe.

Anyway, the plan was to have me sit outside our base cloaked, wait until Kenjar and Kentaree undocked, and then unleash my Cruise Missiles. Our tactic worked quite well, but he called in support when his armour began to fail. Kenjar and Kentaree's ships went down and I immediately recloaked to save my ship as it can't hold it's own in combat.

It was quite a bitter experience as we were so close to take him down. We would have won the engagement if only Raven hadn't been asleep.

HEY! I was watching a movie actually. ^_^
Gotta unplug sometime hehe

Still, you're probably right. Wish I'd joined in, could've been fun, after the recind the other night just figured we wouldn't even try fighting again. Teach me to plan a night of relaxation eh

[edit]
now my ftp is behaving itself again, here's some more screenshots

If anyone can tell me what the hell that bug thing is on my brother's ship in the first screenshot; that'd be cool. Aparently it was eating the ore out of his hold as he was mining - haha
Can't say I've seen one of them before, kept phasing in/out; was quite odd.

There's a shot there of the Daedalus (Caldari Osprey Cruiser) right before it was destroyed, the rest are of the Apollo (Caldari Blackbird Cruiser); which honestly I love her more than the rest of my ships. Has served be damn well for the past few days, and plan on keeping her in service for some time to come.

The Odyssey (Caldari Osprey Cruiser) however has been repackaged by our forward thinking CEO, and lost all of the character I'd given her. Ho hum, guess the next ship to bare the name Odyssey will just have to remain in my private collection.

I will be buying a Caldari Drake Battlecruiser in a day or so, which will honour the fallen by baring the name Daedalus
Should have some more screenshots in a few days time. ^_^ enjoy those I've posted so far, hoping to get more with all of us in a group; but with ships that are still not that large it is quite a challenge; especially with me most of the time off gaining our corporation reputation with missions at the fringes of Minmatar space.

Its the mining drone bug. Devs are fixing it just one of those add new code for the captial mining ships and it fecks up something else for no reason. It oddly didn't show up on the test server.

Get your self quickfit and evemon both free. quickfit allows you to fit a ship out of game and see how good the stats are. Evemon is a desktop character montior so you can work and know how your skills are going. Like coding a game then change to eve to change a skill 2mins before it finishes.

I'll add something later on.

Yeah, I have both evemon (for when I'm working) and ship fitter.
Quite cool little apps, with evemon you can actually do it remotely by generating a full access api key; but they don't recommend it cause it also leaves it open for someone else to mess with outside of eve.

I'll post up some screenshots in the morning of the wargames we just had to test out our new ship setups. Some room for improvement for everyone cept maybe Gico, dude has a nice ship; was quite fun to see what sort of punishment the ships can take.

was fairly impressed with my new Caldri Ferox "Harbinger" Battlecruiser

You can get a limited version of the api key which just sends the charater data.

As for your war paying these guys is a big mistake you become their isk monkeys. They will ask for the ransom every week. At your stage in the game 20mil is a lot of isk. If you wait for two or more weeks they will move on. Easier pray out there.

I've pop in to high sec for a day to get some skils if you see annab in local give me a call I may gang with you for a few kills but I will only attack what is killable. I'm not taking on anything I know can't be killed. Nothing agaist you lot but my pigrim set is not easliy replaced.

I'll add something later on.

the fearless devhat boys of eve online... what to say.

first of all let me introduce myself \"Aaron Grey\", \"Sliced Peaches\" is currently smack talking me ingame cowering behind his little POS shield where he thinks i cant touch him... but that will change in a few nights, dont want to spoil the surprise though so i say no more.

Im a Driector with MOD corporation, we are basically full on bad boyz who will shoot anything in sight no matter how big how hard or how scary... we currently reside at a great distance to devhat alliance, (although especially for them we have moved the entire corp to there door step).

After they somehow decided we were a threat to them... we may aswell play different games all together considering the distance originally between us, they decided to put there big boy boots on and threaten an advanced pvp corp who have fought on the frontline of many of the largest wars the game has ever seen, SlicedPeaches> \"we are going to vote wether or not to fight you, expect a war declaration within 2 days\" (which we never recieved)

nice move mate... we didnt give a **** about you, but seen as you threatenned us we thought nvm well just point our full attention at these little r*t*rds. the degree of talk which comes out of sliced\'s mouth is truly legendary, just a shame on the action side. i read up about his previous war... they fought against a corp of 3 retards and made it out to be the greatest battle of all time involving some sort of intense diplomatics regarding this whole \"CLASS\" alliance thing... well done there nobody\'s ur idiots.

i will keep u all upto date on how the war is going dont worry.

o7 Best Regards Aaron Grey
