how can't i? less money for more quality headphones are, yesyes, but i've also got big big speakers behind me, and some other stuff if i really want to hear quality (not listen to the headphones that is)...

Speakers should be always in front of you never behind you and the tweeter should be at the same level as your ear.
Seriously buy a pair of monitors at least cheaps ones (I suggest Behringer truth, cheap and functional) you will improve the sound of all your songs.

ummm, truth is, they're behind me, and next to me, very weird setup, but i never listen to them while sitting in my chair, i take a seat into my other chair and listen to them (in front of them of course)

i'll look into that (i've got a behringer xenyx1204fx mixer and it has proven to be quite good)

but the thing is, the big big speakers i've got now cost 2000$ each, i've got all top notch audio stuff, i've never really thought about anything else
