In Deus Ex, hacking is pressing a button under time pressure depending on the stats you have considering hacking. Lockpicking is the same thing, only you require lockpicks and lockpick skill. Combat is slow if you want it to be, as depending on your Augmentations and skills, and available weaponry, you can pretty much run & gun. Stealth works good enough if you ask me.

But in the end, it's not the individual things but the sum of all things.

Exactly. Having said all that, I played a little more last night and the game really becomes more fun as you get more skills. Combat is actually pretty decent now, it feels like you really are an augmented secret agent, and stealth is fine as long as you stay behind the enemy.

Sorry for derailing the thread, by the way. I guess mentioning one of the most loved games ever will do that!

I'm not actually a Kiwi, I just randomly thought it up one day.
