@rolfy, Good points and I wish I could respond them. The truth is I don't know the truth, nor does anyone here really. There is a lot of speculation, some from what little facts we do know and a lot from mere speculation. What that stems from in some cases, I can only suspect.

I'm addressing the issues, I think.

The one thing I can assure you of is that I don't need the pack, nor do I need anything for free. I'm not a rich man, but a 10 or 20 dollar pack now and then doesn't affect my budget, I assure you.
As rolfy said earlier, enough has been said (by me) on this one so I leave it to you. You know my thoughts. I don't have to agree with or like his motives, whatever they may be, but I can't fault him for making a pack of items that has been made before.

Things happen get over it. I could buy a box of matches from the store or I can get them free at my work(they give them away). What are you going to do. Its life plain and simple fact.

There are copiers out there, nothing you can do about it. I hate them to, but sorry I wish I could go and do something very painful to them but I can't.

O.k. definitely my last post here.
As it seems its o.k. for folk to rip your ideas and offer them up for free maybe it would be pointless to put the work and effort into creating any pack for sale,on that note I see no reason to continue with my own.
This of course does not apply to models,but if effort is put into doing innovative work,such as Butter cutter and its ripped off, I dont think I have the stomach for it.
Why should someone do all the scripting and media if its just trashed by some wannabe who takes it all and makes it their own.

I have no idea if RD is doing all this deliberately but I'm not waiting to find out.

Alright so his intentions are to undermine higgins and butters sales, how would you do that, make a pack with horribly low quality, quality as the same as the pack your copying, or make the quality better, to make sure all sales get ruined....its kinda obvious dude

It seems like I missed the fireworks.

Me, being somewhat similar in attitude to Bobert when it comes to pirating, absolutely hates it when one steals another's work. I think this thread deserves to locked, much like others have said. But, I will be among the others who'll stay, but I will not buy RD's pack. As Sam Fisher said in Splinter Cell: "I'm tired and I hate making people scream. It gets me down."

I am against pirating; I am a law abider, and will continue to be. Earth is too small a place of the perpetrators of these acts to hide. Just let this thread and RD die.

what a load of whinging on these boards, people are free to make what they want, I made some skyboxes for fpsc, I charged for them, if people think they can make them and give them for free, do so, nothing wrong with competition. Whats the problem. Buy the one for sale and get the free one, the more the better as far as Im concerned.

Also hasnt the other guy not released his cave pack, this guy has, he is the first then, perhaps he is the original one then?

My god, this is a mess. What can I say? I'm on Higgin's side at least. He comes up with a fairly original and cool idea for a model pack, works hard to get it done, and when sales start, some freeware-knight on his steed comes from the blue in a Robin Hood-fashion and steals the recipe, leaving a few things out maybe. Tell me, does he come off as wanting to please the less rich people of the community, or does he come off as trying his best to put us down who want to make a few bucks for hours of hard work?

For me the answer is clear at least. And don't troll me for joining forces with the money-maker-modellers, I'm a freeware kind of guy too, but I know that making a model pack takes some work, work that you want at least some reward for it in the end. I'm sure Higgins has very valid reasons for wanting to cash in a few extra bucks, I believe very few people on these boards would sell stuff merely to put a fresh wad of bills up their greedy noses. In fact, I don't think any serious forumer would do that.

Dude its the princible of it all, if he had not used mp5 hands and not allegedly sent d13 a virus than this thing would have stopped at higgins being banned but because of these things people are finding it hard to believe that this wasn't some sort of malicious attempt to undermine packs.... It is not even healthy competition as they are send email viruses and undermining sales....i hope what urlforce said was right and that loyalty does undermine the undermine'er and that people get singled out for using this pack as i would hope that this community would remember the help and support all the members that have left gave to it.

I for one like this pack. There is no law, or even rule in the AUP about coping ideas and thats because it's silly. How many of the MP's have an M4? 2, maybe 3? So do Errant, Jon and Simon fight about it? No they don't. You guys also forget that not everyone is old enough to have their own credit card and is only allowed to get official packs. This pack looks much different to me. And I like Red Devils work personally, the cutter thing was way cool, good but not as good as Butter-Cutter still. Flame me all you want, I'm not going to even bother reading it.

P.S. The virus and ripped models are new to me... Also you guys should calm down about his language skills, lets see you speak German better than his English. Maybe I won't use Cutter V2 anymore..
