I'm working full steam on my comp entry... Will even shoot some cheapo FMV footage for it tonight. I'll probably have the whole thing ready and uploaded by tomorrow evening.

Here's a few teaser screenies. It's not visually as nice as Parasite Q, since I have to keep strict balance on the entity count etc. since it's just one level and I need to make it pretty long to work properly with the story.

I have one question to you guys? Does everyone who planned on entering have enough time to get their entry in? This is only for people who 100% know that they are going to finish, but not by tomorrow night.

Okay, Decay is downloadable now.

http://www.trproductions.net/parasitequarantine/media/Decay.zip

Warning: Contains strong violence (throat slit and a picture of a smashed head) and shocking images (me shirtless).

Here's the story of the game;
Quote: "DIARY ENTRY:
I have lost track of time. I don't know how long I have been here. Could be weeks, could be years.
I don't even remember how I got here. I know one thing though; I could kill for a moment of daylight. It's
dark here. I'm guessing this place is deep underground. It's hard to tell, the people who lived here seem
to be long gone. Sometimes I hear them talking to me, though. At first it made me feel paranoid, but now I'm
used to it. I used to rush out to see if there's someone, anyone I could talk to. There never was.
An old scripture says that deeper underground there's a shrine this place was built around. It says
that at the shrine I would find the thruth. Maybe that's why I'm here. "

Gameplay hints;
-The doors are marked with lights. Two yellow lights on both sides of the door means it's unlocked, two red lights means it's locked or opened by a remote switch.
-Search around the city, there's a lot of books and scriptures that will reveal things about the story and give hints on how to progress.
-The game has ambience 0, so I'd recommend playing it in a darkened room for full effect. In daylight it might appear too dark.
-You can throw bricks at enemies to knock them down momentarily. There isn't an infinite supply of them though, and a brick will break when hitting an enemy. Use this gameplay feature wisely.

Oh yeah, and the game was built with shaders on, so on some comps that might cause problems.

Hope you enjoy the game

My FPSC would not let me build my level. I was gonna submit it yesterday, but I just found that problem.

But I also asked if anyone didn't think they could make it. I was going to extend the date if they didn't. So if he makes it by tomorrow at 11:59 pm, then he is valid.

I tested the Decay download and it downloaded and unzipped fine. There probably was just a connection problem with the TR productions server earlier, it does that sometimes.
