Make it about 2,500 polies. That way for a good character to really be brought to life, it will be possible. All the best,

yeah, but i'm sure Henry Ham's uses a more professional 3d tool, meaning he can control the polies better.

its not the tool its the user you just need to take some time over the basic setout ( that took me 4 hours to get to that stage )

i think 2500 is a good cutoff point it means you have to work with care on your mesh but its not a real hardship.

cheers henry

but i still think at least 4000 polys for a compatision sounds about right. there are some people out there that have there own styel of moding and it would make it fair.

I think a kind of low poly limit would be okay, who said competitions should be easy?
I will see if I have time to enter this.

CB model isn't exactly professional, there are no commercial games using it. 3DS Max id the way to go if you are really serious about modelling, and not some free program you found out aout.

Yeah, sure.

Guess Errant's and Bond's models suck as well. Daniel wright 2311, you have a serious attitude problem, cool it.

no i dont he is the one with the atatude all i did was put my charitor up to show the poly count and i get reamed about what i use to model with. when did i say that the models suck, just the program.just like henry ham said its not the tools its the person controlling them. i dont like 3ds max, big fat hairy deal. does not mean i dont like bond 1s stuff.

@Aaagreen- Just because 3dmax cost alot more than CB model pro doesn't mean it's way better; beside's easier to use and a more well balanced modeller. If you have a good modeller it (the modeller program) should be able to make something great, no matter what modeller it is, as long as it has everythng required to make it completly finished.

@Daniel wright 2311- Okay chill, buddy. I know that are saying cb model sucks, but that is their OPINION. So please stop taking people crit so hard. Use their input against them and prove them wrong not in words, but in action by making a cool character using cb model pro.

All the best,

Beastegargoyle

I know, guys shut up anbout which moddeling tool is best.

now back ontopic, looks nice guys.

Also 3dsmax is for more advance users Daniel, however cbmodel pro is actualy a newbies moddeling tool, it uses triangles and not faces, which is a shame, also does not have the abbility to allow plugins and such, and its paint tool aint great either, but is a nive addition, CBmodelrpo is acauly a Zbrush type clone.

(end of argument, dont quote back.)
