No, should be as easy as double clicking and then clicking "I agree", followed by "Next", etc. Very easy to install dell drivers, as all their drivers for a specific laptop are right there for you to download when you look at your model.
You might need to have your laptop specs handy, cuz there may be multiple drivers for the same laptop. For example, some laptops may have Intel Graphics or Intel Extreme Graphics. That's about as complicated as it gets.
Do keep in mind though, that you may not need many, if any, extra drivers with vista. I've only had experience with reformatting dells using XP.
Vista has much better driver support.
After you install vista, you'll want to check your device manager (right click my computer > properties), to see what drivers you need to install.
I'd take the window's drivers over dells (In most cases) for everything but the video card. For video, I'd go straight to nvidia's or ati's site.
