I chose mine a while before I joined TGC. I just though it sounded cool and I was, like, 15. plus I couldn't find anyone else who had used the same name.
So does anyone have an interesting story behind their username? or did everyone just pick theirs because it sounded cool.

...but I am the ferret king!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! tremble before my ferret minions!

My old name - gamingcolosseum - is just the name my website goes under... and I probably thought it was cool when I chose it However I went off the name about 2 years after joining... and changed it to my own name, because it was simpler and I prefered it more.

I picked mine because Seppuku is an act I practice regularly as part of my meditation exercises. Just kidding:

Seppuku is a form of Japanese ritual suicide (AKA Harakiri), which was a way for disgraced Samurai to 'apologise' to their master - it was seen as an honourable thing to do. An alternative route when disgraced is to become a Ronin, a masterless samurai...which quite conveniently was the title of my first failed project.

The process of the ritual involves you cutting accross your belly and creating a deadly wound, which at the point of the most pain, if you've been loyal through your servitude, you can have a request for a friend to cut off your head.

Why pick it? It's rather gruesome, the stranger thing is, 'Seppuku' is my DJ names as well for our student radio and I'm keeping it whilst I do some DJ training and if I get to DJ at any clubs/parties. Well 'Seppuku Arts' had a nice ring to it, (it was originally Seppuku Geijutsu) and I had a huge interest in all things Japanese at the time, it just seemed like the most appropriate name. I did for a while go under the name 'Musashi' for a while, who was a legendary samurai that wrote 'The book of 5 rings'.

My worst nicknme I've had on this forum was 'Teh Buddha', which was partly a mockery. (The fact I was putting on weight about the time I decided Buddhism made sense and well people like using the word 'teh')

I used to play Unreal Tournament 99 alot, back in the day.

I had many usernames. When I joined, I was GreenFox. I was Kronos everywhere else though. Sometimes MercuryKronos. Then I decided to ditch all those names and use Xenocythe, which I saw some guy have this nickname on Unreal Tournament 99.

I spotted that there was text saying "+ 2 anonymous users" on the bottom of the forum list page. So I chose this name to express my desire for anonymity.

As you've probably noticed by now, mine is a play on the fairytale puss in boots. I just realised t one day and the name sorta stuck with me. So when most people see a cat that wears boots, I see a cat swimming in a boot full of pus. In retrospect, I could've gone for a less provocative name, but that would be out of my nature. And it sounds SO adorable.

My grandma died a few days before I joined, so that's what was on my mind ATM. Also, it's a pretty cool nick overall. Endless innuendos. And the connotations are very similar to how I am, if you reverse them, that is. But the thing that really settled it though, was the fact that "grandma" is "amdnarg" backwards. Which means absolutely nothing.

Ever see that Disney cartoon series 'Doug'? Well... I have a space between my front 2 teeth, and my brother thought it would be fun to nickname me after the buck toothed creepy guy named Mr.Dink... Hated it for the longest time, but eventually it just stuck and I got used to it. Now I just use variations of Dink, Agent Dink, Dinkage, etc etc. I can't really see myself ever using something serious like Xenocythe or Venge or something, hehe. It just isn't me, and I think that the evil nickname Dink is the reason why...

Back in the day, when I first joined up, I couldn't afford all the letters in the alphabet... its not like it is now.

I spent countless hours in the very early morn, breaking into houses, stealing treasures and ham. Spending dark and dusty hours in the coal mines, until I could scrounge enough money to buy the letters that make up "BigAdd"

However on one of my travels, I came across a capital "Q" just lying in the snow.
In a flash, I grabbed it, tucked it into my miners overalls and set course to the local shop.

I timidly approached the shopkeeper. He was a large man, red cheeked and plump, carried a tattered ball of string under his left arm. Nobody knew why.

The floorboards creaked as I edged close to the counter, the round faced man growing ever larger with each step.
I ruffled through my overalls and slid the letter into view.

A small grin crossed his large face. With a grunt, He waddled over to the far end of the shop, the boards moaning under his feet.

A jar of 1930's imitation pebbles, made from oak. How did he know?

I asked for "n" amount of imitation pebbles. With that, the large man intricately studied and tweaked a large pair of brass scales, slowly tipping in pebble after pebble.

Tied in a large paper bag, the pebbles were in my grasp. As I moved for the door, the shopkeeper issued a loud hiss. I had forgotten my change!
With a clang, he opened the till and took out a "g".

Its with that spare g, I created the name "BiggAdd".

The End.

Jenkins stuck with me because of Halo 1. There was a Jenkins in that game and he was kind of a screw up. His actions were just similar to things I do lol. My actual name is Hayden. People never actually called me Jenkins. It was never a nickname of mine but my buddies said I'm like him lol. That name always just floated beside me.

At the time I was a big fan of the anime/manga series helsing and well, the coolest character was this vampire slaying vampire who basically never died and whatever, point is, he was cool as crap, and yes you guessed it, his name was Alucard.
And if you are smart enough Alucard is Dracula on backwards and it was in some religion the son of the devil.
So I thought it was cool like 4 years ago and since then I've just used it, I don't really care enough to change it. Although on most websites where I register currently I've always put my name as "SebastianK94" or "Seb94" as that's basically my real name and whatever.

Side note: New sig and avatar ftw! The old ones were getting kinda dated anyway.

You know what's funny about the name Leeroy Jenkins, is there was a guy who played Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear back in the day with that name, years and years before World of Warcraft. And he did the same junk. Every assault on the terrorists was a Rambo for him. He always brought the biggest, loudest weapon he could find and would wake up the terrorists so everyone else would get shot. He always played on a Ruined City server, can't remember what it was called. Maybe the same guy... or maybe the WoW Leeroy is fake and based on a RS legend. Whatever the case, that video on youtube is fake. Why would you do some crazy 5-hour dungeon with FRAPS running the whole time? Can we say "staged?"

I lived in Cyprus for a while and found a stray cat on the beach. My wife and I used to go and visit him each day and take him some food. Eventually (3 weeks later) we took him home and named him Scraggle because he was a scraggley mess!

I stole his name!

The video is fake yes but people record their instance runs all the time. The guild I played with for some time recorded some of the runs.

Dazza (or Daz) has been my nickname for years, and the G at the end is the first character of my last name. Thats it. Came close to being Dazzarg because my middle name starts with R. Now wish I had used my other alias at the time Nerrad, or my current one Crivens. But changing now would be weird. Loads of people on here who changed their name years ago and I don't know who they are because I missed the posts saying so. Infact that would be a good idea to post original names and what they are now.

My Surname is Mihalyfi, thats Hungarian, but in english its Michaelson, Funny enouth, my first name is also Michael, As is my dads, my grandads, my great grandads, and my cousans, so MSon was the shortest abbreviation of my name i could think of as no one can ever spell my surname, and it was better than "Mihi" which was what people use to call me at school.

Well I was 'Cool Kid'
This was the first forum I had joined and it was a simple name.
However when I joined the Sims 2 site it gave me a name suggestion which was
'5867Mtt'
(I originally put matt as my wanted name seeing as it is my name!)

Then all of a sudden '5867' stuck in my head and decided on 5867Dude! Its my username on basically everything and of course it is never taken cause it is so 'random'
