I. AM. PISSED. The powers that be decided to close down the ENTIRE CITY, that is ALL OF DOWNTOWN for a Steelers parade today. I was trapped, LITERALLY TRAPPED downtown for TWO HOURS today.
The parade route cut the city in half, and you couldn't cross the street to get anywhere. I was stuck in the outer edge of the city until the parade ended and I was FINALLY able to cross the street. AFTER TWO HOURS.
I missed my bus into school, because my bus into downtown stopped over five blocks short of where it normally does. I had very little idea where I was, and when I found my way, I was then trapped between the parade route and the river, and couldn't get to the bus stop. I couldn't go further into the city, (that would require road crossing) and all thew roads leading away from the city where non-pedestrian. So, I wandered around the city, looking for a place to cross, but there WERE NONE.
I'm all for celebrating the Steelers' 6th Superbowl victory, but this was really poorly executed. There was little to no organization, and the parade route couldn't have been any more inconvenient.
Don't get me wrong, the Steelers are awesome, and I'm glad they won, but... This was one the stupidest things I've EVER seen the city of Pittsburgh do.

No, everyone else was happy-happy-joy-joy. I was the only one who was pissed, since I was the only one who still wanted to go to school.
