It seems like the smileys on these foums are way better than the smileys other places. Take this smiley from AIM for example:
that's just wierd. nobody uses that smiley. This smiley: is used alot by everyone on this forum. Even this smiley: is inferior to the TGC forum smiley. Comments? opinions?

Scary part is, I was just on the BBC site seeing when Doctor Who was starting again.

http://www.darkproject.com/Icons/Icons.htm

You can see the smiley pack that TGC used on there.

look at the bottom:
Quote: " All of these icons are Copyright (c) 2005 Dark Project Studios and may not be used within any software, skins, themes, wallpapers, websites or any other application without express permission."

I wonder if TGC got permission...

I'm pretty sure they did. I was starting up a site and wanted to use the smileys and somehow or another the guy mentioned that TGC was using them with his permission.

Just created this one:

I've always like the TGC smileys as well, but probably because I'm used to them.

They are easy to recreate. We can copy the shape and colour and it will still be our own work.

Ahem, let me list some threads that have less of a point than this one...

Hordogs or hamburgers?
Free HTML compilers?
what is your fetish?
Take a bath
What razor do you use to shave?

aaanyways
im starting to wonder where some of these smileys came from. This? Okay, i guess it's kind of like linux, and people like penguins. it's kind of understandable that that would be a smiley. but a pear? Did someone just go on a pixelated fruit rampage one day?
