That video looked nice. Reminded me a lot of HL2(so you have true talent...). And that says a lot if a guy doing this for free can remind a no-lifing nerd like me of his favorite shooter of all time. Keep up the amazing work man. Can't wait for release

it really reminded you of HALF LIFE 2?

REALLY?

I'm better than I thought

anyways thank you very much. my voice actor finished my voices, and I lost my mic, so I'm going to e-mail you, adriannojones wannabe, for a sample.

I cut out levels 6 and 7. this game'll be a prelude for a sequel I make if I get leadwerks (or just use source or UDK, but I think leadwerks uses 3DWS, and if so than I'll be excellent at mapping because If 3DWS is anything like Cartography Shop 4, than it's just like source) Basically, this game'll end at "to be concluded"

as it is, the game is really short, and I have 2 options:

1: I can get the voicing done, get the music in, and release without shaders and bloom (meaning the graphics will be nowhere near as good as they were in the video)

or

2: I can get the voicing and music done and in, and wait until hockeykid fixes bloom in fenix mod to be capped at 60 FPS and someone tells me how to fix bumpbone.fx on jfletcher's Civrogue. (she's always shrouded mostly in black) or makes me a new shader.

opinions?

Well, with the Rogue, in x10 at least, you can change the .fx to "skinning.fx" and it makes her look a bit better. I can't remember if x9 has skinning or not.

In x9 you can't change the shader?

yeah, but when I remove her shader, she's either all black or see-thru.

I don't have skinning.fx

I don't have X10

EDIT: forgot to tell you, this will be the prelude to a sequel, and let's just say, I may need a 3d animator, because the ending I have cooked up is awesome.

EDIT 2: email me if interested. wray2u@gmail.com

here's a pic of an extension to level 3. maybe someone will finally comment and tell me how I'm doing?

well anyways, this room is more lit, it gets brighter the higher you go to convey the "getting out of the sewer" feel.

Gah! I didn't say anything about the video! I think it looks nice. The lighting is godlike. The segments looks really great in the light. Keep up the good work!

thanks metal devil! I'll be able to send you the beta tomorrow, but I'm afraid I don't want to release anything more until hockey kid fixes bloom to cap at 60 FPS.

hey guys, I put the voices in, and bad news, WWC won't build because of FPSC's RAM cap

it crashed on level 1.

since by my standadrs, that level already lacks detail, do you all have any suggestions?

You could use multigame and build every level seperately, so you wouldn't go over the top.

turns out I'm NOT going over the top

actually, when building with the RAM counter in v117 beta, it's only at like 590 mb. and there it crashes on initializing entities, and it gives me no error report. I'm going to re-install, clean out my audio directory of only what I need, and then try again. anyone else have any suggestions before I do this? (I've already run FPSC cleaner to no avail)

I have no suggestions until you try all the usual stuff. All I can say is welcome to the wonderful world of the exe building - The brick wall which has forbid me to ever finish a project...

me too

anyways, I tried building again in v1.16, and this time it's made it to the SECOND level and crashed without error message at saving and optimising universe.

ok guys, update. I've sucessfully built all maps (one by one) except level 5, which crashes on "loading actve guns" without even so much as a "encountered a problem, needs to close" just a "provide a jpeg screenie"

I don't want to remove parts from level 5, and make it shorter than it already is, but then again, I want the game to build.

First, you need to identify the problem. It's something to do with the guns? Remove all of the guns from the level - test it. If if builds successfully, start adding them one at a time until it stops working. Then, you can resolve the problem.
