I did those It's very very simple actually, and I think I'll share it... Open up the gun_D texture. All you have to do is turn up the contrast to your liking. Don't mess with anything else like saturation or brightness, just contrast

And about the AK-M problem (not an AK47), it's a gun hud problem I'm going to fix when I feel like it.

no, I redid the AK and the M4, PWP.

Quote: "what a coincidence, that you took the wrong screen

Fact is that in your own vid at 2:00 the player can see, that the area left to the firetruck is empty. But 5 seconds later, once he advenced past the fire truck, two enemies are suddenly standing in the same area shooting.

your witness..."

no, I have the right screen up now. it's pretty obvious that they walked there.

actually, you'll find them quite different in game, the G3A3 is a good long ranger with a slow fire rate, the MP5 has been edited to have very good non-aiming accuraccy, and very bad aiming accuracy (30/20) the m4 is all around good gun, and the AK is uncontrollable when automatic firing at range.

Zay, you are awesome.

anyways, I've actually been trying to decide on what type of pistol to use in the game. should I do a glock, an M9, or keep the P226?

hey all, just an update, I don't know what's happening, I am just no longer running FPSC at full frames, it randomly slowed down to around 34 and never increases, in ANY map. the movement has also turned very choppy. I did NOTHING to FPSC since the last good test, and when this started happening. I don't know what to do.

since it started, I've reinstalled, dumpmem'd, ran the cleaner, ran v1.00, ran v116 stock, and nothing has worked.

help please?

okay, a breakththrough:

I played Urban terror, a quake mod, and get the frame rates that I always get, 127.

I played a built FPSC game, and get the same low frame rates of 34.

Thats the old FPSC ENGINE CURSE.

The longer a thread is running and the more people ask about finally playing a demo, the greater the chance is, that it becomes impossible to run the game build.

The list of victims is allready long and its growing each year....

no no, I'm going to build this one, it's not a build problem that I'm stumped at, it's the fact that the frame rate is only 33 in everything, and I don't know why, because it has always been 40. I've reinstalled, run the cleaner, ran without the mod, and done a dumpmem, I've even run CCleaner, but I don't think I have solved it. I don't know what to do.

the build problem is a crash on loading active guns, and I'm sure I'll fix it somehow, I never have a problem with builds.

I always get framerate of 34-38. It's just fine for me and seems very smooth, so I don't really see what's wrong wit it.

I never drop below 40, and to see a level with a ground and a light giving me 34 gives me some worries. I know it sounds like a terrible complaint, but I like smoothness in my games, and I don't want 34 FPS to make the game be slow like regular v1.00 fpsc.

oh, and in other news, I think the build error is because FPSC doesn't like custom rigs.

New Screens of a map being added to When Worlds Collide called:

SUBWAY

Special Subway stop for Sewer Maintenance workers

FPSC lighting hates my segments- proof

employee entrance lobby

eh? eh? comments please. inspired by a subway ride in new york where I had to exit through the maintenance exit, Code of honor 3 video (looks like a fun game) and canalyst.

the blood is black because the your ambient is too low. thats one things I hate about x9 compare to x10. x10 does not use ambient for the blood. the blood decal is not the same thing as for blood spat on the floor. maybe magic 117 will fix all of that. ya right.

I had the black blood too long time ago and it didn't bother me too much. Everything is normal now (atleast everything was normal the last time I was killing stuf with FPSC). Don't know why or how or who, but it magically went red. Maby if you try making your own blood? Replace those? I made some myself a long time ago with Bond1's bloodsplats. I resized them and it looked pretty neat.

ColtFang: May I ask why you changed your name (I know it's long time ago, but I'm just wondering).

Actually it's not and I picked that out in humor. It kinda is leaning but it really isn't... you know. The ladder is a bit off from the watertower. That's no big a deal and just said that for the good ol' random censor.

Hey guys, update.

UPDATED LEVEL HIERARCHY

Level 1: 100% -redone, kept most of same locale and style. just a graphical update
Level 2: 10% -no inspiration, the first one was actually pretty good!
Level 3: 100% -Redone, now the sewer's underground storage and office facility
Level 4: 100% -Redone, now it's a subway
Level 5pt.1 : 100% -Redone, now it's much bigger and has way more enemies. performance is good.
Level 5pt.2 : 0% not started. inspiration will come to me
Level 6: 25% -Inspiration is gathered. I am changing the weapon hierarchy to allow for an awesome rooftop fight setpiece. hell, this whole GAME is a setpiece.

level percentage chart-
0-10=drawing, planning
10-20=has been committed to editor, but still can be scrapped or changed
20-40=in the thick of design
40-70=putting dynamics in, detail touch ups
70-80=enemies, NPCs being placed
90-100=fixing bugs

UPDATED ARSENAL:

P226- unlocked in level 1. unlimited ammo
MP5SSD5- Unlocked in level 2, mainly a close quarters/stealth weapon
M4A1- great all around rifle. unlocked in level 3.
AK47- Powerful rifle with lots of recoil, good for close and med range, fire slowly at long range. unlocked in level 4.
Grenades (yeah, you heard me)- totally own. explosive. unlocked in level 5. pt. 1
G18C- unlocked in level 5. pt. 2, a bullet hose. great with a knife.
Knife- unlocked in level 5 pt. 2, like some other weapons, good for close range, not exactly a sniper-knife.
G36C- perfect assault rifle for all ranges. truly epic weapon. unlocked towards the end of level 6.

Oh, and I have some crit. In the employees' entrance lobby screenshot, there is some graffiti on the wall... But it's way high up - how would someone get up there? And if they used a ladder, I don't think they would because it's not really worth the effort

But the table is way to far away... You'd think that if someone wanted to vandalize a wall, they wouldn't want to go through too much trouble/hassle... I'm saying that if it was one level lower and somewhere more open (not behind a reception desk), it'd be more realistic.
