My iTunes says they're Heavy Rock, Wikipedia states them as Industrial Metal and Nu Metal, I must've got mixed up xD.

I can't judge over them because I'm not exactly a Punk/Metal lover, and I believe that RATM and AFi are pretty Metal-ish aren't they?

AFI uesd to be punk, now they're all emo-ish and girls fell in love with them. I liked AFI before they were cool, but I still like the new stuff.

@Dark Dragon, I was simply listing my current favorites. Of all time would definitely be Misery Business. Insanely fun to play on guitar, too.

Aren't they Hate Metal? I read that they are hate metal, but I dunno. Awesome still.

And Planet Hell is a great song too! I like the new Nightwish better that the old one thou. The times of Tarja were good, but times of Anette are better. IMO.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things that I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

I love music...but unfortunately there aren't enough good artists out there. I'm very picky with my music. I can't stand typical, repetitive, or un-emotional (songs that sound like they were played by a machine) music.

I do like movie soundtracks, game soundtracks (Age II!), light rock, smooth jazz, and creative instrumental (Yanni).

I cycle through 100 or less songs.

Some specific artists:

Newsboys
Downhere
Hans Zimmer
Klaus Badelt
Harry Gregson-Williams
John Williams
David Lanz
A SELECT FEW Tobymac songs
Chris Rice
Brandon Heath
etc

Edit:

Oops, thought this was just a general music thread. Oh well, I wouldn't be able to choose my top 5 if I tried.

Exit Music [for a film] - Radiohead
In My Time of Dying - Led Zeppelin
Half-Day Closing - Portishead
1921 - The Who
City of Delusion - Muse

Please note that this list will most likely change twenty minutes from now, hence my not linking everything

That's more Slipknot (I hate them lmao) I think. 'Felons and Revolutionaries' was probably Hate Metal, but 'Life' and 'Group Therapy' helped Dope fade into Industrial Rock/Metal.

There's nothing wrong with them, I'm just not really into their style.

A hard call, but I did want a song to represent one of my favorite artists: Devin Townsend, not a fan of his stuff with SYL but his solo work is amazing

Other tops songs would be:

Revelation (Divus Pennae Ex Tragodia)- Symphony X
The Accolade- Symphony X
Age of False Innocence- Blind Guardian
The Edge- Blind Guardian
The Wicked Symphony- Avanatasia

To the Quasar- Ayreon
Day 2: Isolation- Ayreon
Day 16: Loser- Ayreon
Isis and Osiris- Ayreon
Poet and the Pendulum- Nightwish
Planet Hell- Nightwish

and oh so much more...I love music

my taste in music isn't weird, its just so amazing your ears haven't quite adapted to it yet.
