Some of you may have noticed over the past hour that the site was unavailable. In this time Paul has been transferring our brand new site across to the server. This is now live and available for everyone to see.

There's a lot of neat changes affecting order history, discounts, bundles and more.

If you have any feedback please let us know.

Much less cluttered; drop-down menus are nicely organized and presented. The color schemes still seem a little jumbled though. But overall, MUCH better than the previous version!

Can you all check that all previous orders are showing in your order history section. The new site has a totally new order database system.

Downloads page is missing the free FPSC Model Pack, and the FPSC X10 Mature Patch. Other then that it seems to work just fine and looks very sleak.

Looks awesome! Very clean and pro looking. I don't have any orders, so I can't really check.

edit: Take that back, my two competition orders are showing up. I've had DB for so long, I doubt you have a order history that old.

Wow, very nice and stylish. My X10 mature patch doesn't come up either, nor does the free FPSC Model Pack, everything else is fine.

The mature pack is now in your order history for X10.

Likely that we'll put the download link for model pack 36 directly on the product page.

Thanks

Oh, and I noticed that using the Profile button at the top of the forum page results into being logged out.. Not sure if it does that on the others as well, I can't really be bothered logging in AGAIN.

EDIT : I took the risk, and the others just seem to result in a 404 page or something else.. No logouts.

It's very nice, but will we be seeing an update of the new design for the forums, or just the TGC site?

Seems like we have a happy community so far!

A forum improvement is not planned at present but I know what you mean, it's starting to look old.

Found a weird bug and I'm using Chrome. If you have an embedded video on a page, the drop down menus render behind it, whether it's playing or not.

Edit: Also, are you getting rid of the gallery? Didn't seen an image on the front page, and can't find it on the site.

I think all the ads look really cheesy tbh. They make TGC look un-professional.

Wow it looks great! I like the menus.

It did look weird at first in Chrome, but once I did a Shift-F5 it looks normal

I like the new design it's nice and has a nice simple feel to it, it's easy to navigate and much tidier than the old site for sure.

Things i have picked up on are that in Google Chrome not sure about other browsers the menu doesn't display over the top of the youtube videos and you can't see menu content an example can be seen on this page: http://www.thegamecreators.com/?gf=iphone (the graphics menu) may need a higher z-index for the menus to fix that.

Other than that well done guys, nice new look it needed it hope to see the forum following soon.

The forums design doesnt matter so much, its fine.

You should concentrate more on the bugs in the forum first.

The new site formatting is borked in firefox for me. I get this logo..

on the left and need to scroll the window to the right to see the main part of the page... let me grab a screen to better show the thing..

ok, attached..

any ideas what's going wrong? the site loads fine in IE, but I don't use IE (unless I'm forced to)

Cheers!

I like the new site!
A tiny little bug is that on the Mobile/iPhone & iPad section, the video covers up any parts of the drop down list that drop down.

It looks like it's not loading the style pages, it may be caching the old ones. Can you try pressing Ctrl-F5 to refresh your cache and let me know if the problem persists?

Looks great! Its working perfectly in Chrome.

On a slightly related subject, I noticed a weird typo on the bottom of the FPS-Creator page... it says:

Quote: "Got Windows Vista! and a DirectX 10 Graphics Card?"

Sorry, things like that bother me.

As far as typos go, there's another one on the FPSC 3D Model FAQ.
Quote: "Q: Does the engine have a set limit of textutres it will accept for each kind of object?"

Other than that, the site looks great! Great job on it guys!

This one?

Your signature has been erased by a mod because of the forum's stupidly tiny restrictions, along with other things such as lack of automatic image resizing, and lack of embedding videos.

I noticed that ages ago, and any bad English from English people really bugs me since I'm almost top-notch on my English. My friends have had a go at me for always typing a correction on MSN when I spell a word incorrectly , I'm just that critical over my grammar.

Anyway, I like the drop down menus too, I did notice that if you select the top option from a box, hover away without touching any others and return to the same option, the image (next to the description) fades. But I've seen that on a lot of sites so it's not a major gripe.

awesome, my only complaint is the menus appear to fast, could you make it so you have to hove over them for like a half second before they appear? cause when ever you just mouse over really fast they appear and you cant click underneath them.
