Generally you respond with a "yes" or "no", where "yes" means that you would like to engage in dating of some sort, and a "no" means that you would prefer not to.

Seriously, just tell them you're not interested and go for the one you like. Or just say you are already with someone, which you would be if you just go out with the one you actually like...

Pah, only 6!

You should ask out the one that you like, for one thing if she knows that other girls are interested she'll be chuffed that you asked her out. Sounds like a win win situation, just stick to one because if you Quagmire it, then they will find out.

I don't think it really matters, I mean, if you like somebody, you ask them out, you shouldn't have to wait for the other person to make the initiative.

If you think from the girl's perspective, you really like this guy, but he's not making a move on you, do A: wait, just in case he notices you? or B: Take your chances and see if he'll say 'yes'.

Traditionally, yes, the guy asks the girl out, but it doesn't mean girls have to sit around to find said guy never asks.

I'm not making fun. Sorry if that's how it came across. There's just nothing sexist about it whatsoever.

Like Seppuku said, the guy traditionally asks the girl out. That's how it has been and probably always will be.

How in any way is that sexist?

Like in high school, there is the sadies hawkins dance where the girl is supposed to ask the guy out. Every other dance, the guy is generally supposed to ask the girl out. That's how it is. No one questions it, few complain, and life goes on. Nothing sexist about it.

Yes, traditionally the guy asks the girl out. But that's traditionally. Times change and circumstances affect these things.

At NYU the female:male ratio is roughly 40:60, and a huge percentage of the men are gay, so there's a lot of girls asking guys out, and guys just sitting around waiting to be asked out because they figure they can afford to do that with these great odds. It's true that there's a lot of lesbians too, but not nearly as much as there are gay men.

Thank goodness I wasn't drinking something, because if I had been it would be all over my screen at this point.

But yes, I'm positive she was bisexual before we went out, because she later told me that she and the other girl had "been together" before she asked me out (yes, it was her that asked me out, not the other way around). I guess her and the other girl were in a completely open relationship. To be honest, I suspected it after a week, but I could never quite catch them in the act, until one day they didn't realize that I was behind a corner...

I forgot; what's this thread about again?
