Nice stuff!

Played Phobia 1 and I really, really liked it. The game was pretty cleverly made. I really liked how everything happened in the same place, but every level had its own twist (for example lights on). I haven't seen anything like this in FPSC games yet so kudos for that!

Yeah the game is really no fpsc game like. And i avoided the crappy parts of fpsc by adding no guns and stuff. This second one is like the first, but still different. You dont spent all the game in a same place like in the first one. You go trough parts of the hotel but still freely movement in every level investigating and searching(Lot of more investigation than in the first one). The game is much focused to story too, and more animations. I also added many different monsters this time. And i try to do it be as long as possible. Maybe over 4-6 hours of gameplay(At least I hope so).

4-6 hours of gameplay is pretty ambitious goal, good luck with that! Remember to add tunnz of readable diaries, memos and such . They fit really nicely into games like this.

My only suggestion of improvement from the Phobia 1 is that try to make the corridors and rooms more memorable. I got easily lost in the mansion of Phobia 1 because everything looked kinda same.

I'm waiting patiently for this title.
I hope you keep a dark dreary look though.

Well I post a new video soon. Hope you like the new look of the game and maybe final(of course still not fully finished) and there is really long time to wait. Because this is big project what can take a long time. I'll try to make this game to be good and scary as possible.

!!New screens of Phobia 2's new style!!
I wanted to make the whole hotel to be more old style. Now it really is old styled and like Edward said in the beginning of a game "I would never sleep here voluntarily."
Because it really is creepy...

Starting room(its really dark because theres no lights on):

The other toilet with lights on:

Another storage room(you dont wanna know about this one)

A head in the toilet:

Dying! They are after me!:

(The game might still look different in a final product)
More screens coming soon...

Old joke?

Well, aside from that. I will now look at the "old vs. new" shots, that you posted a while back. I must say I liked the older ones better. The new screens look great! Or was that just a lights on/off comparison?

Hmm. I thinks these new screens just isn't showing the game enough. Because the new look made it more creepier. I made it to be more old style so the place is now dark and creepy. I'll try to chance those textures to be more colorless. But there are still full lighted places to make it more realistic(like that one in the screens)
of course dark places is scary, but making the whole game a dark it just wont make any sense.

Still the game isn't ready for a long time so it will look different. More and more better.

New screens from chapter 1, part 3, Hotel rooms.

a safe looking place... With a strange door:

Door to the hotel rooms and door to the upstairs hotel rooms:

Downstairs hotel rooms(there should be fog at the end of the corridor but it cant be seen in a test game):

a very dark hotel room:

Upstairs hotel rooms corridor(creepy place):

Look what a rich hotel. Toilet mats and everything(one of the rooms):

Hotel rooms can be creepy:

There are things in Phobia 2 that can be seen only if you look at the right place in a right time(these things will sure scare the hell out of you):

same thing in game. Just randomly turn back in some random place and some one is right in front of you. Or just investigating room and you notice a creepy face watching you behind the shelves. Most of them cant bee seen in a first playtrough cause they can be everywhere.

This game is scarier than Fear and Penumbra in my opinion cause this one actually made me jump and im not easily scared

Your game has been arrested for 3rd degree awesomeness.

Seriously... If anyone says, you can't make very horrific psychological horror with FPSC, I will just point them to that video. I mean... I was friggin' scared of the first Phobia, and I had expectations for this to be scary as well, but I never... ever expected this! When this is done, my friend (a fan of horror and FPSC games, he doesen't use FPSC himself, but he likes to play games made with it) will have to play this, no matter how many nights he willl spend awake...

yeah, I will use lot of scary parts and scenes like that.
and you will play the game for the story too.

The game story is settle out of the letters written by the only survivor in the hotel, through cutscenes and hallucinations.

Wondering: what will happen next? How i can get out of here? Will I ever get home?

Claiming your self: this is all my fault. Why did I ever leave home. I had better reasons to stay.

and losing sanity for fear...

Sorry I had a little vacation from this since I have worked almost a two months without a break.
Now Im making a little smoke\fog\dust effects and stuff to make it look much more better. And im looking some new models, funitures and stuff, apartmen, mansion, hotel stuff what would fit to the game.
Maybe some new updates soon...

Something I did with Entity workshop.
the room is detailed without any random trash and stuff, may look very good in game.

Btw this pic isn't from the Phobia's level(just a test).

Thanks. But the game will not be ready for a long time, so the levels aren't final and will maybe still have a lot of chances.
But still, imagine yourself walking in that hall with(atleast now) four doors to explore.
(Btw, I still think the floor could be improved with a big mat. I will add it right away)

My school just started today, and I'm living in a hostel for weeks.
And ofcourse I have some random roommate.
That means I maybe need few days to get used to this before I can continue Phobia 2.

And Phobias development will sure slow down on 8th september. Thats the release date of masterpiece of all time(Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Frictional Games)

the later one was just a test. I maybe do some other things with Entity Workshop so I could make the other rooms/corridors and stuff to look better. Will put some updates later maybe even this week or just before Amnesia.
