Hmm... I'd guess on the keyboard. I spot a bowl on the right, it must be for collecting spit when he drools at night.

Quote: "just switched from my old CRT to a 27" flatscreen and my eyes hurt after a few hours. Will that go away?"

when i switched to lcd flatscreen, my eyes burned for weeks. what i realized was the fact that, with the new, improved visuals, my eyes never wanted to blink. once i started taking the crisp, clear visuals for granted, i stopped staring at 'em, started blinking again, and the burn went away.

this is the theory i developed anyway

@obese,
looks like you took the monitor off the laptop & used the built-in webcam to take a picture of an apparent desktop (is that a tower behind the nightstand?) w/ monitor that displayed "i just blew...". i'm sure i'm missing something but that's one possibility.

ack: no, that's not quite right... <shrugs>

I love CRTs if only they were bigger (like 30inch), had widescreen CRTs, and didnt take up a lot of space. so pretty much i wish CRTS were just like flatpanels

That's not a laptop that's just a keyboard with a built-in touch pad, nifty little thing, it now looks a bit battered, it's quite funny that you can see where I rest my hands because the paint has worn away! It's a great keyboard for me because I don't have a desk to rest my hands on or use a proper mouse. £30 from Argos. Yes that is my tower hiding behind the draws.

I'm jealous of you guys who have GREAT PCs and PC monitors as well as an iMac or other form of Mac computer.

I'd post a picture, but I don't have a proper desk or computer; just a laptop that mostly sits on my lap. And I'm not taking a picture of that.

:"

Yes you're right, it's and S-PVA, not an IPS. I don't see any ghosting whatsoever, even in games. The screen is remarkable, you don't see individual pixels like in a standard TN monitor, it's almost like you're looking THROUGH the monitor rather than at it. The blacks look truly black, not that sickly green/gray like on TN monitors. It was a great investment. Looking at standard TN monitors hurts my eyes now.

Yeah, well the PC on the right is my brothers windows 7 machine, we share a house. There's always someone round for a game of Minecraft or Killing Floor. When the multiplayer survival mode gets added to Minecraft then it'll be a full house most weekends .
I tend to sit wedged between the PC on the left and the iMac, it's great to work something out in DBPro then redo it in XCode on the mac for iPhone apps.

I must say though, lots of tidy desks this time round, usually there's a much higher coke can and pringle box quotent.

Yeah, it is. Hahahahaaa! I only use it to record the riffs or acoustic parts, or sometimes to record sounds for my games. When I plug in a mic in my PC, I hear too much unwanted noises, but not when I'm plugging the mic into the footpedal, and plug the footpedal into the line in of my PC.
This babe costed me round 300 US$, but I'm very happy with the sound and the various FX that can be achieved.
The drums, special FX, keyboards are all done with FL Studio. Lovely program!

Well, for the record, I know how to play the drums. Actually, I'm quite good too. I play the drums even better than my guitar. I even played live once with a coverband and replaced their drummer for 1 hour or so. The bandmembers later told me that I played much better than their own drummer.
Ten years ago I had my own drumkit. But, since I live in an appartment, it would be a bad idea to play them, don't you think?
So, now I don't have a drumkit anymore. But, I could afford one though.

Honestly, right now, I can't afford a happy meal lol.

That'll change soon though, starting school, but I don't plan to work on this system. I'm gonna start off getting a laptop for school, and then start to build a new one, using whatever parts from this case I decide to salvage.

Hmm, I recently bought an electronic one due to the neighbours complaining about him.

You should seriously think about investing in an electronic one. Here's a pic of my baby girl next to my computer to try and keep this relevant.

For some reason I have a pot of my facial cleanser by my keyboard, probably best kept in my bathroom, but I suppose, it saves a trip if my face is feeling a bit greasy (I have oily skin, so it can get greasy easily).

Considering I shop at Lush...doing the er...thing people are suggesting, it'd be expensive, I'd use something else.
