Recently I've been doing a lot of programming, C++ in particular. I've also been playing SMG2 (which I just bought), some RTS games, and a SNES that I also just bought. I like the outdoors, too, I get out whenever I can. I've been reading a little more, too, but other than that I've just been working.
So, what've you been doing that you consider a hobby?

programming, computer junk in general. But I'm outside a lot too, skating, jogging, the occasional hike. Guitar playing I guess, but I don't play as much anymore.

I've been trying to get back into programming as a hobby as of late, but I'm just not motivated enough to. It's weird.

Current hobbies:
Shooting/editing video, playing guitar/keyboard, writing and reading, playing video games (currently looking into getting a PS2 just for casual gaming), and...well, that's really about it.

Haven't programmed in ages now, surprisingly :S Instead I have spent my creative time playing the drums and guitar, and writing music.

I like to keep busy. So aside from the gaming, programming and 3d art:

I like reading, I've recently got into the geekier side of reading, so I've got fantasy books and manga on my shelf - I've read Uzumaki and am currently going through Full Metal Alchemist, though I only have the first 4 volumes.

Alongside reading, I write, it's something I want to get money out of later and have my own readership. I'm currently attempting to write my first novel - currently writing draft 2, it's a steampunk dystopia - currently not decided if it'll be of the more optimistic kind or something that ends horribly. Then of course, you've got my storytelling - I'm not big enough to get paid, but I've entertained decent audiences, getting compliments from professionals.

In terms of sport - I often go to the gym, but also enjoy playing badminton and squash and enjoy swimming. I studied Karate and got to 1st kyu and am looking to go back.

Drinking and hanging out with friends is always awesome.

As a metal head, I love going to gigs and festivals catching my favourite bands, you wouldn't believe the kind of awesome people you end up meeting either at a gig or even after. I made friends with a guy because he recognised my t-shirt and had a drink with him after. The same guy provides most of my alcohol related anecdotes. I'll never forget the night I thought he was going to get us all killed. At festivals, people are...insane, even the Germans.

Also, does 'hugging random people you meet' and 'hitting on straight guys to make them uncomfortable' count?

You actually enjoy it? I thought people only liked to play golf so they could get promotions at work.

Enjoy it? No. I only play it so I can get mad and break my clubs, forcing me to buy more. Sounds pretty stupid, I know, but you have no idea how addicting that can be.

It would be really nice to create a multi-dimensional mesh editor, just to say that I make 8D models.

I've made a 4D mesh editor. Unfortunately it's not quite finished and as of now you can only make models that exist on 16th february 1902.

blender still only makes 3d models, his point was to add MORE dimensions xD

however if it is as my bros says and time etc is a dimension..
then games really are more dimensions than 3d xD

if i remember right 4d is a 3d world changing over time, eg BFBC2 is 4d because the terrain is destructible and so is the buildings, i think wow would be considered 4d with phasing but i dunno, it might be instead it degrading over time.

if thats true then there is a LOT of games which is 4d
i will always say stuff is 3d though, becouse to me an dimension = axis *X,Y,Z*
but thats to ME, doesnt mean it is a fact^^

I mean four spatial dimensions viewed by a projection.

the 4d stuff you're talking about would be considered 3d cross-sections of 4d space. Thats like viewing a bunch of circles and calling it a 3d sphere. Look at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbprfcSVcyQ
each volume bounded by eight vertices/12 edges is of equal area. the shape you are observing isn't changing, its just a four dimensional object rotating in the fourth dimension. If you don't get that, look at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50EjlzVsQM8
looking at a 2d surface, those 2d shapes (bounded by four vertices/edges) are changing in area, however, we know that since that object is a cube, its faces are all of equal area.

Basically its cool and it would be fun to struggle to make sense out of it

A fourth dimension would really mean adding another axis (i.e. X,Y,Z,A). The problem would be identifying what the "A-axis" is. That's another hobby of mine, boggling my mind about things such as this.
