http://www.partyline.ie/freeforlads2/?gclid=CN3A25nul6kCFQNP4QodhErpuA

I got this today and to be honest I am going to turn off advertisement for the forum if I keep getting adds like this. There insulting and there is already many places on the web for this dirt.

The ads are Google, which means they are displayed based on the content of the page, and also your personal browsing history. TGC doesn't really have much of a choice in what ads are displayed.

Don't be such a prude. There's nothing insulting about dating girls. To say otherwise is sexist. Grow up, seriously.

I have never seen it stated that Adsense uses peoples cookies to choose what adds to display. From what I know it is purely down to the content on the web page, keywords searched for and a bit of geotracking.

Since I use Sandboxie to browse the web and I don't have save history on nor do I go near that type of site I don't know how they managed to show a 18+ add on a family friendly website. You can choose from where adds come from. Maybe The Games Creator don't know how to setup Adsense properly?

Anyway it is worth mentioning none the less. Considering this is meant to be a family friendly website. Also nobody actual answered the OP lol Does anyone else get this crap or not. If so you should be mentioning it.

Grow up, sexist? What are you on about. Answer the OP and stop trolling. I didn't ask for your opinion on adult sex lines or on what I think of them. If you want a real woman kid try and go for class not paid for services lol

That is fair enough Melancholic. I did not know that about Adsense. Thanks for the info Still doesn't apply to me. From what I can tell from that link anybody who visits adult sites that use Adsense and then visit this site end up changing the adds displayed for others based on there browsing history. I bet you it is Zotoaster, xplosys and CoffeeGrunt

Why waste forum space with this?

Well that was abruptly antagonistic for absolutely no reason. Calling someone a "prude" is pretty childish, especially since he wasn't actually making some statement about dating girls. He was just pointing out the fact that these particular ads were annoying and he found them offensive, which is perfectly reasonable. Maybe hold off on the "grow up" statements until you're mature yourself.

You didn't ask for anyone's opinion. I'm still giving you it. There's nothing wrong with it, I see more porn on The Simpsons.

I'm completely aware of my harshness, so I don't take any offence to what you're saying The nature of "offensiveness" has been going through my mind a lot lately. Frankly, when someone is offended by anything sexual, I get offended. I think we can all agree sex is a good thing and children shouldn't be too protected from it.

My bad. I must have assumed '18+' meant sex and 'family friendly' meant children are involved. I will take your advice and go talk to real people though

@Zotoaster

18+ doesn't necessarily mean sex and family friendly doesn't mean just for kids.

I am all for people choosing what they want to watch. There are plenty of places for this crap and I wouldn't judge you for going near it but I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. This is not the place for sex lines obviously. Reality is always better

Hmmm interesting I guess that answers my original question then. OK adverts off! And thanks to everybody for not answering my original question lol very helpful

I did a search for Adsense and nothing related came up. Also did one for advertising and still nothing related.

@Benjamin

Why are you advertising a blank site?

Honestly, there's nothing offensive about that ad. Yes, it advertises something that could be considered of a sexual nature, but the actual ad isn't explicit. I don't see anything harmful about the actual content of the ad.

Also, I've had adblock on for quite a while, anyway.

I've never really understood the trend of dividing dating hotlines by nationality. I've seen plenty of 'Young Russians Want To Date You' ads (Although this is the first time I've seen an Irish one ). Aren't they kind of limiting their target audience? Unless they're going for the fetish crowd, but really, how many people have an Irish fetish?

Edit: Oh, and this forum definately is the place for dating hotlines to be advertised, I think we've established that this forum is predominantly male

Wow so angry! Calm down skippy it was a friendly joke to the others that joked themselves. Maybe you should join Zotoaster outside with the real people and get some anger management while your at it. Also that is not what I asked. Nobody has yet answered my original question. Yourself included and you have posted twice already. That is deuce fail

And I don't want to upset you more but all you stated is just your opinion nothing more. It doesn't change how I feel about this type of dirt nor will it.

Good points all around Have you seen other dating sites here though is what I was originally asking. Is this type of thing common on this site? Doesn't matter now anyway. I have turned off the adverts for this domain so no more skanky adds for me Anyway yeh it would seem that the sex and maturity of this site is mainly young hormonal males

I thought they were all Evony ads. Again, I didn't think they were offensive...just scantily clad women... This link has a fully clothed woman, and the text is pretty tame too "flirt, chat and maybe more" ... Maybe more???? Like what, discuss the state of the world economy? Talk about Guinness and why you should drink it? Talk about how it's strange when people refer to themselves in the third person?

I misread your post the first time, but now you really are acting the role... insulting me doesn't work. And I am outside, on my phone. Not sure where the "real people" are, though.

And what exactly was your original question? If it's asking if anyone else has had that ad, then no, I haven't. I did answer your question as to why you got that ad. it's based on browsing history and website content. So, the only person to blame is you.

And anyone who talked about Ireland and dating in the same post.

... Also. It's spelled ad. Not add.

@thenerd Wrong again I never insulted you. It was a friendly ribbing. Try not to take everything so serious And I have already stated my browser setup and my distaste for this dirt. Hence the original post

I didn't mean to use the term "son" in a condescending way. It was only for dramatic effect.

We have members from around the world with some very differing beliefs, experiences and lifestyles. Obviously what is offensive to some will not be to others. My attempts at humor are not meant to belittle anyone or their ideas. It's just the way us old people roll.

If you are from Ireland then that might explain why you got the ad and no one else did. I know that if I had ads on in other websites all the singles 'in my area' are from Brisbane. Even though I live over 1000km from Brisbane, it certainly sounds like the place to be!

No worries xplosys I didn't see it as an offensive statement I just thought you were showing your age when you said son lol As for the forum members I understand. I don't get offended by digital text. It is impossible to extract a persons intent from it

Yeh I was thinking since Adsense had nothing to go on it just geotagged me and threw up anything lol Stoopid Adsense. I turned the adverts off though. I just cant stand that type of dirt. It is a pity though I would like to support TGC by checking out there adds now and again. Thanks Thraxas

I would say it's pretty much impossible to completely limit a child's exposure to sex and relationships, and to do so can be damaging anyway. I'm not particularly old, and I've been exposed to a fair amount, and right now I don't feel like clawing my eyes out... I know that a fair few of my friends have done it underage, and they all seem fine and balanced. This is one of those things that I would say is based more on a person's maturity than actual age - some kids can handle it, some adults can't. And vice versa, obviously.
