For cryin' out loud, where is the honorable Anayar anyway?

Perhaps he took her to Australia after all?

i would think having legitimate and healthy relationships would be more likely than cheating, so I guess I am an optimist.

Okay, this is like a fairy tale, so I'll sum up th story classic storybook style...

Once upon a time, in the great U S of A, there was a guy named Anayar.

Anayar had a girlfriend, Amy, whom he had been seeing for three years. One day, Anayar needs to call somebody so he borrows Amy's phone and calls said person. Said person doesn't answer so to find number and dial again Anayar looks in recently called list. While browsing the recently called list, Anayar sees several calls from a number with UNKNOWN (sorry, not restricted, was a typo) as the CID. He is curious so he calls it back.

A male voice, who we will refer to as X, picks up the phone. Anayar asks who it is and the phone is slammed down. Anayar is curious and slightly ruffled and asks Amy who it is. Extremely out of character, Amy gets pissed and tells Anayar not to mess around in her private business.

Anayar is now frightened and upset. He asks his friend, jack, about it. Jack tells Anayar that he had actually seen Amy with X (though god knows how he knew it was the same X I don't know, but Anayar thought it made sense at the time),and that he hadn't said anything because he didn't want to ruin Anayars and Amy's relationship.

Anayar is now veg upset. He isn't sure what to do, so instead of cooking up a rumor storm by asking Amy's friends, he posts a thread on the extremely helpful TGC forum. The response he receives is overwhelming... Most and insightful and some are... Interesting. Anyways, Anayar decides to stick it out through valentines day and ask her on valentines day night.

To his shock, on Valentines day night Amy calls and tells Anayar she won't be home that night because she had to go somewhere urgently. When questions were pressed the phone was hung up. A few minutes later jack calls, he tells Anayar that he just saw Amy and x entering fudruckers.

Jack swings by and he and Anayar run (drive) as fast as they can. Just as they arrive at the restaurant, they see Amy and X climbing into Amy's car. Anayar is in full rage mode.

Soon there ensues a chase around the city, losing X many times but somehow always getting him again. During this period Jack gets multiple phone calls from undisclosed (to Anayar) sources.

The chase ends at the entrance to a hotel, sleek fancy right in downtown. The name seems familiar to Anayar but he can't place it as he runs behind amy and x into the hotel.

Amy and x disappear into large room in the hotel, some kind of party room. Anayar enters hot on their heels. But inside it is pitch black and silent. Suddenly he is grabbed from behind and there is a roar as a too full of people yell "Happy Valentines day _______(insert Anayars real name here)"

Jack let's go of Anayar and comes around with a big smile. Amy too walks up with a grin and kisses Anayar. Anayar is too confused to say anything. After a few minutes he asks:

"what the f%#}? What's going on?"

Amy sits him down and explains. She had wanted to have a surprise for Anayar for valentines day but was lost as to what to do. It was during that time that one of her best friends from high school, X aka Brad was in town. They had met up and it was brad who had the cheating idea (yes, I still want to kill him). Then Amy's father, the manager of the hotel we were in (hence the familiarity) suggested the hotel idea. Jack was pulled in to make sure Anayar followed the plan that he needed to follow. Overall she explained, things worked out much better than she could have hoped for.

Anayar doesnt like to admit it, but yes, a tear slipped down his eye. He had thought he was going to lose Amy and now he realized he couldn't live without her. The night ended in dancing, eating, and partying. Not another word was spoken to X, despite many attempts and speaking... Just kidding, Anayar and brad got along great after that.

Oh yeah, and jack got a few punches too... But that was after the party.

After the party, Anayar and Amy retired to their comfy home and they lived happily ever after... So far.

Lol, I should turn this Ito a movie.... So that's the story. Turned out I would have been an idiot if I had broken up with her and I realized how much I actually depend on her... Kinda scary actually. Thanks guys for all your support and for Pete's sake, if you saw an unknown number on your girlfriends cell you would probably ask her about it too... Maybe not call but still.

Cheers
Anayar

P.S: oh yeah, did I also mention that we are both going to australia? Kicking another thing off my bucket list and going to see the great barrier reef and the opera house!

Wow...I think somebody even mentioned a surprise party in this thread. It was pulled off well, you've got to hand it to them, just don't ask any of them to organise your stag night - you might find at the end of it they've convinced you that you killed a guy.

I'm sure you'll be laughing about this if you're not already, despite how cruel of a trick it is. I'm glad it worked out.

That sounds unbelievable. And by unbelievable, I mean I don't believe it. I've never heard of a surprise Valentine's party for someone.

If it's true your friends have a weird sense of humor. If it's not true then it's still a good story.

I dont believe they knew you would phone this number, so I am not convinced by Brads gruff response to you initially that he is 'ok', particularly in light of the fact he knew the number being called from, I would watch that one.
It is entirely plausible that they did this to you after the phone call but not planned it beforehand, so I believe some of it, tell Brad to get out of town.

Darn ya posted just as I was witing this, now I dont know what to think.

Yay! I'm glad you're girlfriend is not cheating on you. That being said, I would slap her for having part of your Valentine's Day/Anniversary present making you believe she was cheating on you.

I mean, come on! For one evening of fun and party, she gave you several days of misery/anger/doubt/confusion? Doesn't sound like a very good trade off...

EDIT: It might not be in the interest of your freedom to slap her, nor do I condone slapping women... Unless she asks for it, and she's got a safe word.

wtf

Well it makes sense, she had been planning the party with brad and when anayar got wierd and called the number she figured it would be funny to make anayar think she was cheating.

I think it was good retribution for anayar having called some random number

Ewwww, that's just wrong. There is a time and place...

And is it just me that had the first thought that actually the poor bloke has had a break with reality and now lives in a corner of a padded room after hopelessly losing all that is dear to him, dreaming of X (see tissues comment), whatserface, and whatsisface? Perhaps they never existed at all and it was all a dream (again see tissues comment)...

Cheers

Ive been married only a few years now but prior to marriage I was in a 9 year relationship. I can look through my wives things at any molment but my ex from the 9 year relationship I could not. My best advice is sit down and tlk it out before you decide anything. Also suggest you never ask people online for advice. You were born with a brain to be frank and common sense tells you the internet is not a good place to ask for relationship advice. Just my two cents.

Old School, it all worked out for the guy. He explains it in this post.

As for accepting advice from the internet, it can help. Heck some of the advice was fairly accurate, like the ones suggesting it might be a surprise party and it was. Of course, use your brain and don't take anything anybody says as gospel - it could be the worst answer to your problems, this kind of thing is incredibly relative and people on the net don't know all of the details, but at least with received advice (from anybody for that matter) you've got more options to think about or different ideas as to what it could be.

If anything, just avoid speculation on anything - facts are what matters, but I think what happened was actually quite sweet in an evil sort of way.

This thread is operating on the interim of programming forum sanity.

I think somebody needs to adorn themselves with a chainmail set of man trousers. Fancy letting your Mrs pull a trick on you like that? It might sound romantic(????) to some of you, but it's basically a practical joke. Who plays the practical jokes in a relationship? The man does!! We are the childish scamps. It's our responsibility to do things that are completely insensitive and cause immense anguish, all for a cheap laugh.

If my Mrs did me over with such a ruse, then I would be bringing the pain, not weeping a tear and feeling happy about it! Time for revenge Anayar.

Anayar, it's always like a fairy tale, you just have to ride it along and see what twisted ending gets tossed on the plate

Quote: "P.S: oh yeah, did I also mention that we are both going to australia? Kicking another thing off my bucket list and going to see the great barrier reef and the opera house!"

OH! are you going to visit the mods down there? tell them swis said hi

Well, this has been an interesting development. I just don't believe they could have actually pulled off that crazy plan. Seems like the case where something that works in a movie ends in misplaced body parts in real life
I can imagine it though,
"Happy Bir.....Valintines Day Anayar!!!"
