//Informations

"Doomster's Pack #2" contains several entities and segments to extend your FPS Creator with a big batch of new textures used to build your level and enhance it's visuals.

Shader-ready "out-of-the-box" (includes all neccessary shader textures and the segments & entities utilise bond1's Normal Mapping shader).

Also, since this pack isn't free, it can be used in commercial projects without permission or an entry within the project's credits.

Useless extra info: The name "Desperation" derived from a game project of mine, for which I actually made many of the textures in this pack, however, it was never finished and is currently merely a bunch of text documents.
Thus, instead of letting the textures collect dust on my HDD, this pack was born.

Doomster's Pack #1 can be found here.

//Contents

- Segments: 1569
- Entities: 1288
- Doors: 8

Surely & yes!

Quote: "great pack, awesome structures."

Thanks!

Quote: "have you ever thought about doing an entity pack thats shader ready"

Well, if I ever develop some serious modelling skills, definitely! But right now, I'm not capable of doing more than some really basic stuff.

Quote: "what are the entities in the pack?"

All kinds of architectural support entities; pillars, ramps, walls, floors, to allow to construct more complex rooms, instead of just the square rooms we always see.

Quote: "make sci fi segments"

That's something I've thought about doing for quite a while, we'll see how that goes.

Doomster these look really good but I am really after segments fro a run down castle and dungeon that in its day was magnificent but over the ages has really become grungy from neglect, would this be a pack that you could do?

Needs sweeping main staircase, landing, hall ways, old library, torture chamber and corridors, bedrooms, crypts and dungeon etc.etc

Will keep those in mind for the next pack, thanks for the suggestions.

Sounds interesting, will definitely have a go at medieval segments over the next months. If some quality textures come out, they'll be released!

Question, in this picture, how you do those nice effects on the lights? I'm new to FPS, as you can see from TheSystem.wusik.com project, so I'm trying to learn how to make better lights and shades...

Those lightrays are pretty easy to make; they're basically nothing more than a transparent shape turned into a decal.

To create "basic" lightray:

1) Paint the desired lightray shape using a brush, or a shape.
2) Apply "Gaussian blur" on the created lightray shape.
3) Use additional filters, such as a noise effect, to create the impression of "dust".
4) Make a new decal with the saved lightray (there are multiple tools that allow this, for example my Model Maker).

I'd like to see some pictures of the doors included in this pack if that is okay. I'm really more interested in the doors then most of the other stuff
in this pack. Quality doors with are hard to come by in the store (no offense to anyone).

Dear Doomster,

Althought i won`t use this pack, because i will create my own media, but i would like to congratulate you, your work is really awesome!

Those last screens of the door, with shaders aplied, indeed, they look very beautifull!

You are a true 3d artist!

Congratulations.

The quality of these segments is superb. Great work with this pack! It reminds of my hundreds of lost hours of gameplay in Silent Hill!

Thanks, glad to hear that! Silent Hill surely is a great game series... just hope that at some point they manage to create follow-ups that reach the quality of the first three.

I'll most likely download this pack. It looks fantastic.

I had one question though. What is a shader texture? Is that like those inverted textures I've seen?
