Hey! Sorry for the late reply man!

...but to answer your question: No. I have no idea. I'm at a point now that I really know where I want to go with this game and it feels a lot like I'm starting over again. This combined with the large amount of model and media requests I received lately makes it hard to estimate some kind of date. I really try to get it out this year but I can't definately tell when I can finish it.

Hey guys! I'm getting more and more back to this project and I'm running in a few design questions and I thought why not let you, the players, have a say in this. So would you kindly take a look at these questions here and give me your thoughts?

** Dialogue System: Are you cool if the dialogues are displayed like in 2D Rpg Titles and older titles (you know: textbox with a portrait picture and selectable multiple choice options) or is voiceacting a total must for you throughout all dialogues? Keep in mind that voiceacting will be delivered by amateurs and freelancers.

** Do you mind me adding some setpiece levels that serve the tone rather than advance story or gameplay?

** Concidering that I want the game to look and feel a tiny bit like an old photo...would you concider random image distortions, scrachtes and stain appearing on the screen to be stylish or annoying.

** Cutscenes ...yay or nay?

** Should I add a lovestory or would this feel too trashy in an FPSC title?

** Would you care about puzzles that might need to be looked up on wikipedia? (Mythologie/chemistry/mechanics/occultism)

** Would you mind me releasing this in chapters?

Thanks a lot if you take the time to do this!

Yep
These are MY PERSONAL thoughts:

I personally think 2D text-based dialoges are the best, and other stuff like radio transmissions should be done with voice acting

If there's something to explore I'm in

If these scratches and stuff are not "overused".

Quote: "Cutscenes ...yay or nay?"

Totally yay, but I'd like them to be scripted, not only by playing a video.

Quote: "Should I add a lovestory or would this feel too trashy in an FPSC title?"

I'd recommend not, the problem is if you could really create some emotions on the player then yes, but I think this might get a hard job.

I think it might be better if you'd find all the needed clues ingame, because when I switch from a FPSC-Game to the browser, it instantly crashes, and we all know the save function isn't very reliable

Nope because if you ae. release Chapter 1, we can play it and give you feedback while your doing Chapter 2^^

Anyways good luck with your project, just don't forget to post new screens sometime to keep up the interest

With that kind of system, voice acting would go well with it, but I don't think it's a necessity. And I have no problem with it being amateurs or freelancers

Quote: "** Do you mind me adding some setpiece levels that serve the tone rather than advance story or gameplay?"

No I don't mind. In fact, I like it when games or movies (read; Ang Lee's Hulk) do this. Some could call them waste of time because they don't advance the story, but I just love that kind of sets or moments.

Quote: "** Concidering that I want the game to look and feel a tiny bit like an old photo...would you concider random image distortions, scrachtes and stain appearing on the screen to be stylish or annoying."

Stylish, but don't overdo it.

Quote: "** Cutscenes ...yay or nay?"

I'd say yay. I think for this project, I'd like to see you work with cutscenes, as I don't think I have played a game by you that uses them.

Quote: "** Should I add a lovestory or would this feel too trashy in an FPSC title?"

I would love (no pun intended) to see you have a go at it. It would again put more emotion to the game, assuming it's done as well as all the other departments on this.

Quote: "** Would you care about puzzles that might need to be looked up on wikipedia? (Mythologie/chemistry/mechanics/occultism)"

I don't mind puzzles revolving around mythology, chemistry or any of the other stuff you said, but I would like to be able to still find the answers in-game. Maybe the game could have books or manuscripts where you have to read the answers to these puzzles?

Not at all!

Don't have problem with that but as MetalDevil & Omegamer said, don't overuse it xD

Quote: "
** Cutscenes ...yay or nay?"

It would be great but no(i want to play as soon as possible )

Quote: "

Only if there is a weird or psychological aspect on the relation

Is a good idea but as Omegamer said, the switch between FPSC and browser could crash the game almost always, and the players will bother you for that, the MetalDevil idea is better.

"

** Would you mind me releasing this in chapters?"
Nope

P,S:Sorry for my english[/quote]
