Hey y'all,

I don't post here often, but when I do, it's because there is an insanely awesome Humble Bundle afoot.

I suggest you all head on over there and support some indie. And also get some good games.

One more thing, because I'm feeling the spirit of Indie Claus, if any of you are not able to buy the bundle because you don't have paypal or a credit card, or due to other payment issues, I would like to gift it to you! Let's say three of you.

So, the first three people to respond with their desire to have this bundle, will have it gifted to them. Post your email address here, or email me at james(at)yimsoft(dot)com.

Good day.

Already bought mine

Great deal for charity and slumped sales. It makes sense in both aspects of older games an giving people a reason to donate to charity.

Bought mine already too. Even though I've already got Amnesia and LIMBO. Psychonauts and Bastion are what sold it for me. Also, the soundtracks.

On a similar gift-giving note, does anyone here want a free copy of RIFT? I've got a code for a digital copy of the game and one-month subscription.

I'd gladly take you up on that offer, Jimmy! Brennonsloan10****@****Gmail.com would be my email (remove the asterisks, of course ). Thank you very much, sir. Pretty excited for this Humble Bundle. It has some pretty amazing games this year. I'm particularly excited for Limbo, and I've never had the chance to play Amnesia, though I've heard amazing things. Never heard of Superbrothers, actually, but I'll be sure to give it a go. Psychonauts has been mentioned to me in the past, but I've never looked into it. I already own Bastion on XBox Arcade, so I'm not missing out on much not having it unlocked on PC.

Did it just start? I can't believe it is almost up to the million dollar mark already. I don't know the totals of other bundles but this seems really high for this early on.

It's a pretty awesome bundle!, I was just about to get Limbo on XBL last weekend, and was looking at Bastion, and decided to just save my points, but I can't pass up a bargain like that bundle.

Limbo is awesome, the mechanics and visuals in that game are so tight, and it's such a dark and macabre game, love it. Gonna play Bastion next, saving Amnesia and Psycho's for later, when I have more time to play them properly.

I just bought it. This is the first indie humble bundle I bought. I've heard of 3 of those games anyway. Alas, I could only pay $1 for them, because that's all I have. / I would have easily paid more for them, if I had the money.

Hmmmm, this bundle is pretty great! But I already have Limbo (awesome game! ) and Bastion on Steam... and I bought the Soundtrack for "Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery" just a few days ago, haven't played the game though xD
So I might get this without Bastion, just to play S:S&S... and maybe those other two games
but if you haven't played LImbo, you really should! And listen to Jim Guthrie's soundtracks for S:S&S and for Indie Game: The Movie at his bandcamp page:

http://jimguthrie.bandcamp.com/album/indie-game-the-movie-soundtrack

~RedFlames

(and I see HumbleBronyBundle is still going! They already put in 5,000$, eh? I remember when they challenged notch and beat him, and then he promised to watch the show IIRC he later said he likes the show but would not consider himself a Brony... oh hey, my pony-ramblings are kinda off-tpic here! )

I've just been playing Amnesia, it's excellent! I've never played such a tactile game, not even Heavy Rain comes close to it. This is the sort of game I think anyone would enjoy even if they've never played a video game before, it's so intuitive and tactile. The atmosphere is quite creepy though.

I find that irrelevant because the ENTIRE purpose of the game is to be creepy. That's it's point. It's a scary game. If people don't like scary games, then you don't play Amnesia. If Amnesia was solely based on it's game play and wasn't scary, none of us hear would ever be talking about it because it'd be a terrible game.

Most people wouldn't play Silent Hill games if they absolutely didn't want to play a scary game.

Since I said everyone would enjoy this game whether they play videogames or not, I felt the need to qualify that not "everyone" would enjoy it. I was just being pedantic about my own words. Gotta be PC now it's election time!

There isn't a single game in existence that "everyone" will enjoy lol. Everything is different for everyone. Whether it's shooters, horrors, rpgs, action adventure, puzzle, etc. Horror is just another genre Isn't a single game in the history of mankind that truly everyone likes. It just is what it is. Although people who don't like Mass Effect clearly aren't even human.

Then you probably didn't get the game "Bastion", because you didn't pay more than the average.

I love Limbo, great game!

Ha! you came late! I bought em for 8, and got Bastion!

I came early! Only 280,000 donations had been made.

Edit: Wait! the average is still just 7.80, sooo, 8 will get you Bastion..... What was that Comet?

Its the average of all donations, so if someone throws another 3K to it the average goes up so people have to spend more to get bastion.

I'm not seeing the problem really, its for charity and people paying a couple more pound for £100's worth of games anit a bad thing./

I threw £8 at it so $12?

thats indie royale - in bundle its just the AVERAGE, and larger donations do not LOWER the AVERAGE... thats not logical at allxD

I know, but bragging about how little you payed is just being a jerk... I figured that most of the money goes to the developers, and it helps charity, so why not pay that much?

Anyone who gets the non-steam version of Psychonauts on Windows: Don't unzip the file with Window's default un-zipping program. It messes it up. Unzip the file with something like 7-zip. I had a problem with that and was told to do this by someone from Double Fine, and now it works. Just a heads up you guys.

Because we have been given a choice. 'Pay what you want' is what is says, not 'pay what you can afford' or 'pay what other's think is appropriate'. So if people only want to pay 1c then that's all they have to pay.

That's fine with me. I just don't think bragging about how you paid the least is a good thing. And I find the fact that the average is only 8$ disturbing.

I paid a penny for it and I'll damn sure brag about it. If people are going to give me the option allowing me to do what's best for myself, of course I'm going to. Whether people accept it or not, it's okay to be selfish once in a while. Besides, I see it as this is a penny more than they would have if I wasn't allowed to buy it for a penny. I don't want these games. I don't like indie gaming. But if I can get them for nearly-free, then why the hell not? If I couldn't buy them for a penny, then they are a penny shorter than what they would have been. Sure, if EVERYONE looked at it that way then they wouldn't get anything. But fortunately for me, people are complete weirdos

Agreed. Don't give us the option if people aren't happy about it, or make the minimum amount slightly higher. Of course if they do that, they lose A LOT of pennies. lol.

Fine, pay what you want, I don't care. I still think that the average price is disturbingly low though, considering that one game from the store costs 59.99$, and here you're buying five.

If you're a student or unemployed, then I see your point of paying 1 cent. I'm payed though, and I'm happy to drop them a fair amount of money.

Iam just gonna say this now first of, if youre paying 1$ you can just aswell go ahead and pirate it: same thing, only difference is that one of them is illegal.

Second of: nice to know in case you make a game.

I am a student, and i have a kid, and i dont get it -> see my statement above and paying 1cent and they loose money on it.
