Well here it is, starts in 1 hour 50 mins (5:30PM GMT, 9:30AM PT).
What's everyone looking forward to/hoping for/expecting?

I'm still clinging on to hope for something HL3 related, and Hitman absolution looks good, always been a Hitman fan. A look at any of the other new consoles would be good too, though MS and Sony seem pretty adamant that they won't take Nintendo's bait and announce the new gen before they're ready - we'll see!

Been looking forward to E3 all year and it's finally here! I'm excited for Nintendo's conference, specifically. Any news 3ds related will keep me happy.

It's Microsoft's conference today, correct? If it's anything like their usual stuff it's probably going to be Kinect, Kinect, Kinect, and more Kinect. With some Halo. I can't wait!

Yeah, we've got Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and Sony today in the US, but if you're in the UK like me then Sony is basically tomorrow and Ubi are stupidly late at night xD

Square Enix has said they've got a big announcement for Final Fantasy XIV 2.0. The original release of XIV flopped, mainly because the team involved didn't listen to any feedback from the beta and completely disregarded what the fans like.

2.0 is pretty much Square Enix admitting FFXIV was crap and throwing more money at it, putting somebody else in charge of the project to try and fix everything that was wrong with it. So it'll be interesting to see what they've done with it. All the money they still get from FFXI subscriptions certainly hasn't been going on the FFXI updates(seriously, there went a long period where FFXIV was free to play and FFXI subscribers still had to pay as it was still a lot more popular).

I can't wait. SE hasn't given me a pleasant surprise for a long while.

It'll be interesting to see if Sony & MS do announce any plans for future consoles. I know the mobile market is pretty strong at the moment and it seems Microsoft have lost interest in XNA.

About thirty minutes in, and so far it's been Halo 4 and tons of Kinect voice integration. Splinter Cell, FIFA, and Madden all showed off getting voice integration through Kinect, and Fable: The Journey is entirely Kinect as well. Called it, haha. Anyway, that's for anyone who hasn't been watching and what's a bit of an update.

With so much slow motion and explosions, how could you not buy such a masterpiece?

Anyway, if you like Kinect and are a fan of Halo or Call of Duty, then you probably enjoyed Microsoft's presentation, heh.

I'm really looking forward to the South Park game, though. Mainly because it's not a gimmicky reskin of another game and doesn't require Kinect for full satisfaction.

YAAAA, Halo gameplay is out!!!

Welp, I'm certainly not buying it new. I wonder if the lead designers at 343 had actually played any of the other Halo games before they started working on Halo 4?

Oh well, everyone will still be playing Halo Reach.

*sigh* seems MS have already forgotten their so called

PLEDGE TO DEVELOP BACK INTO THE PC GAMES MARKET

*sigh* whatever...

was totally bored of the MS conference but RE6 if its locked to consoles only... *sigh* then good bye RE franchise...

I say that because it looks like consoles are running another EXCLUSIVITY WAR which if they forgot kind of failed in the past... and if I remember correctly, developers suffered as a result...

anyhow 33 minutes to the EA conf lets get ready to get bored!!!

EA's conference is starting, it seems. I saw Sims Social flash across the screen at one point, so my hopes aren't too high.

So what you're saying is, there's gonna be a decent South Park game? I don't think I've played one I've liked. Even the one on the N64.

Doesn't sound that exciting yet. Might be interested in the new Hitman, but I still haven't played Blood Money, but I did love the first 3.

Haha, it should be a decent game from what I've read about it. Turn based RPG from what I can tell, and the artstyle is really something. From the clips they've released, they've really nailed the look of the show.

Looks like Criterion is doing their own take on Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Now that's something I'm going to pick up. The original was really something. Liked it better than any Need for Speed they've released prior to it, heh. Other than that, EA hasn't shown anything too impressive. They're making a new Sims City game, it seems, and they're adding in multiplayer just like every other game in the universe. Though I shouldn't poke too much fun at the series, since I'll probably be picking Sims City up myself when it's released eventually. I'm pretty fond of those games.

I am so disapointed with EA and microsoft.

Microsofts conference was not about Games, aparently a console is not a console any more, it's a 7 years old PC which you should use to play music and watch half ass TV shows on.

EA's conference was Shooter- another shooter with the same name - sportsgame - EA trying to milk money - A third name for the shooter - one more sportsgame - Money milking - fourth name for the shooter - money milking - DLC - Sportsgame - The 5th name for the shooter - money milking - Sports game

I can't believe they tried to make money by getting people to send an SMS to "name there burger restaurant".

E3 seems to be for family gamers and people that want to play the same generic shooter 10 times.

after AOE3 was released MS seemed to go downhill and then suddenly dropped out of the pc market alltogether as far as I can recall...

and I reiterate somewhat...

their so called PLEDGE was a load of beezewax

*sigh*

investors are to blame if I am honest... they are pushy pricks who say quick get something made I dont care much for it just getme a return on my investment so I can buy my third Yacht to sail the bahamas and spit on people...

meh anyway my point is there is NO CREATIVITY AT ALL by that I mean... THERE IS NO ORIGINALITY... why continue with crap of today when theres some good old stuff from the 90's that could get a revamp... I would 100% buy a console [ps3 likely] if they re-made doozens of PSOne games man those games were ORIGINAL!

before I go too far looksie UBIDUBI is next prepare for another waste of time guys!!!

now... think about it its been what a decade or something... and now this is their first MULTIPLAYER version...

don't you agree they should have been asking for people to text in a NEW NAME FOR THE FRANCHISE?

oh I dunno maybe... SIM WORLD? as they missed out on the opportunity can I start my own franchise and call it SIM WORLD? who's with me lets start... lets use AppGameKit

Looked the list of games announced so far and it seems to be sequels to games we've already played a lot of already. Not a lot that I'd feel like playing to be honest. Not even Tomb Raider, I loved Tomb Raider: Underworld and to be honest that's the only one I've played since Tomb Raider III. Although the graphics look great, but it doesn't actually look like Tomb Raider to me. In fact, it looks like it's just on rails. :/ You can hardly feel like an explorer if the games on rails.

Not sure about DMC yet, I dig the fact the trailer is playing Combichrist in the back ground, I can Dante in it getting on my nerves and DMC4 was a disappointment. I loved the original DMC, but I doubt it'll be anything like it. Like Tomb Raider, it looks like to be mostly about the action, but then for DMC the trailer doesn't show much to be fair.

Just watched the SP trailer and that looks like it could be fun.

Ubisoft went from hot chicks dancing, to Flo Rida, to Tubuscus in the first five minutes.

I don't think they have a good idea about who their target audience is.

The new Rayman and ZombiU actually looks pretty cool. At least it's something different from all these generic first person games these companies seem to love. Ubisoft is doing a bit better then the previous conferences so far, but they still aren't too impressive. Especially considering that it looks like they're introducing another fitness game, heh. Well, they just kind of flashed it on the screen before they started going over the "new" Assassin's Creed, but it's all the same, right?

I wonder if UBIDUBI is going to hint on its newest DRM system >.<

EDIT

You know, one that requires you to perform blood sample tests every five seconds... and if you fail to provide a sample your game save does not get uploaded and is subsequently deleted as the game crashes...

Oh Watch_Dogs... I thought you'd be an interesting and unique game. But then the player character picked up a gun. Looks like it's just your general 3rd person cover shooter with a twist. Oh well, maybe next year, Ubisoft.

Wow - Watch_Dogs. Gotta say it looks awesome. The bit where he scans over the crowd and gets little bits of personal information about them creeped me out, and the car crash bit O.o Games don't tend to have any problem with killing, I can shoot hundreds of terrorists in a game and not feel anything but I was genuinely shocked at that. Love it when a game can actually evoke an emotion.

Assassin's Creed 3 looks amazing. I am a fan of Assassin's Creed.
And I really like the look of Far Cry 3

Really not sure how Halo 4 is gonna turn out seeing as it wasn't developed by Bungie this time around... But we shall see.

Black Ops 2 looks like rubbish just like all the other CoD.

Tbh, Crytek's Warface game looks much more professional and is labeled "AAA F2P GAME". Free-to-play, and much better looking/gameplay than CoD.

Annnnd...Kinect is not very interesting to me. At all
